What attribute / stat relates to floaters/runners?

Is it moving shot close? Moving shot mid? Layup? Something else?

I want to be a short playmaking PG and I often used floaters in the past to get over big men, but Playmaker build doesn't get access to Tear Dropper badge which is bumming me out.

Really just wish we could upgrade individual attributes instead of this stupid block/tower system...

Really? Even though you can do floaters from around the FT line?

I really don't want to make a shot creator just to be able to hit floaters...

In 2k16 floater were based on your moving shot close. Which is why centers could make floaters at a high rate. Not even sure I saw a moving close rating on the prelude though.

somebody in reddit did a really analytical test, and concluded that "moving shot close" is what affects floaters.
i don't think 2k17 has "moving shot close", but just "shot close", which is under the "shoot off dribble" category.

So you most likely have to upgrade the "shoot off dribble" bar for floaters.

EDIT: didn't realize RedStickGamer replied while i was commenting

Makes sense with Shot Creator having the floater badge.

Thanks guys. Think if I make a Playmaker with shorter wingspan and get bronze tear dropper badge that I'd be able to hit them at a reasonable clip?

We can't know until the game drops, but im guessing you'll be able to as long as you're not heavily contested.

If u want to use the floater as ur primary weapon, slasher or shot creator is prob the build to go for.
