Cool! I checked for new shoes this morning and don't remember seeing anything new besides a new Hyperdunk Low Lavine PE and KAT's Hyperdunk home PE.

No, I never said they couldn't handle it. I simply said that the move probably had something to do with it. Jordan Brand for instance has ASG shoes that celebrate the Charlotte Hornets, so it stands to reason that they were in production before the announcement. Hypothetically if Nike were planning something really entrenched in the culture there, (like the Gumbo League kicks from the last ASG in NO) I could see them deciding it might be better not to release the shoes in a different city. I think it's a tad ridiculous that ASG gimmick sneakers could put Nike in a bad spot from a business perspective, but that's just me.

As far as BHM goes you're probably right.

take a look at the concept all star shoes that had the iridescent look that were designed for charlottes game & look at the Pels NOLA Pride Mardi Gras unis & tell me you couldn't still use them?

the BHM's are seriously so generic & uncreative, "not loud" is far from being jus basic & boring

the article about Melo was way before BHM came to subject or the shoes even were seen for the first time

it's ruining decades of tradition & really doubt the players are rolling with it

I live in New Orleans so I get it. When I first saw the VI I thought "Mardi Gras?" then I noticed the honeycomb and the XXX1 and figured it was a Hornets thing. JB has a stronger connection to Charlotte than the Nike sig athletes, so there's no reason to think what they were working on that aesthetic profile.

as the earlier member said youre missing the point. youre confusing shoe colorways with traditional BHM colors. As someone who is black to imply that Nike or the other athletes dont care about BHM is ignorant and somewhat racists.

THIS YEARS are uncreative

they used two of said colors UNCREATIVELY

nobody saying nothing about FLASHY
some of the most creative shoes are not flashy at all

the *** **** socks are more creative than the shoes
they could actually use them to display a message or pay homage

some basic *** shoes even have dates or messages encoded in them, this years BHM's can't even get something as simple as that? just a generic color scheme that could pass as any regular old drop

Should we just go ahead a make BHM shoes because BHM is almost over. It's the shortest month of the year! And if 2K is not putting out ASG shoes this year, why not make your own?

I'm black but anybody talking about how BHM shoes are uncreative isn't racist at all, man. We can't just cry racist at anything it gives actual racists more power.

Yeah the BHM shoes this year kinda suck. I don't care too much about a lack of ASG shoes though. I'd prefer it if BHM-inspired shoes were more common during the year, it shouldn't be confined to one month and we should celebrate our heritage as often as we can.
