I have to say, I'm very disappointed with the sneaker selection this year. 2K15 and 2k16 had way more sneakers. More Nikes, more Adidas, more Reeboks, Converse, etc. All 2K cares about is Jordans, Lebrons, and foams.

This years game has the most NIKES Jordans adidas then it's ever had

I have to agree, the guys working on 2k have made leaps in terms of what we had vs what we have now. I mean the PE's and player specific colorways have been absolutely a blessing from what we had years prior. They are on the right track and i can only assume it is going to get even better moving forward. This is the best its been to date IMO. I would like every shoe under the sun as well, and options for alt uni's shoes etc, but we are getting there...

I have to respectfully disagree with you man. I think the sneaker selection is great. Maybe there are shoes that were in previous versions of the game that are not in this year's game, but other than that and the material glitch, I don't see anything to complain about. Just my 2 cents. And the fact that the shoes are 3-d scanned is awesome! Hawktastic12 is a one man wrecking crew with the shoe updates, he deserves a lot of the props for making the shoes so great this year.

I'm not sure why they remove shoes that actually have a place in the game. Shox...Pippens...converse...Penny's etc...these are kicks that actually go with classics superstars. Yet each year they drop them off and we're stuck with inaccurate shoes.

Because getting certain shoes 3D scanned isn't as easy as it is for others. You can get a pair of every main line Jordan no problem for scanning but the older, less popular shoes aren't gonna be as easy to get.

Let me reiterate myself.
1. They were never in 17 or 16.
2. They were in NBA 2K15....Last-Gen. If they were in Next-gen 2K15 as well... I never had it & they probably looked real bad since they looked pretty bad on the 360.

Obviously they removed shoes that looked bad compared to the newer ones since they weren't 3D-scanned. So there's your reasonable answer.

If you want THAT much accuracy for 90s rosters... the shoe list for Nike would be WAY too big. Current shoes should come before 90s Nikes that are harder to find to scan.

Awww Po thang😢...MY point is the subtraction of classic(staple) kicks that WERE in past titles,to be dropped in favor of others is a bit hard to understand. I'm not a game designer but its hard to grasp that these handful of shoes couldn't be scanned. But 👌

lol the Shox BB4 isn't a staple and the Shox tech was a tech fad.. notice they stopped making Shox yet Air & Zoom Air shoes still are?

But that's besides the point.. poster above me just said. They dont have access.. what is so hard to understand lol. Every new shoe model that was added this year was pretty much released within the last year or so. Even the Retro's.
There are even UA shoes that have been removed because they don't have the 3D scan. It's not hard to understand... old shoes wer dropped because they looked bad on player models compared to new ones. Simple as that.
