I don't like how Hawktastic keeps dodging that question about the custom shoe textures, tbh. The guy could say he'll look into it, at least, but he refuses to respond at all.

What exactly is wrong with the shoe texture? I have this theory that when they initial scan a shoe were subject to the materials that they use in the scanning process, I could be wrong and maybe that's the reason the 2k sneaker guy won't answer ur question.

Well, that's just plain out wrong.

The scanning only takes the mold of the shoe, not the materials used for it. Those are added in post. Plus, can't you change the material to anything but metal (Is suede glitched too? Not sure)?

If he's not replying because he simply doesn't know, it's because he doesn't care, which is terrible.

I doubt he's not aware of it, tbh. Suede is affected as well. It's why black Infrared 6's can't be made properly.

Well, considering he's the main guy for the 2K17 Shoe art team, he should have an idea about getting it fixed. I won't say I don't like the quality we're getting with the shoes because, damn, this is the best it's been so far, but the texture glitch sorta breaks the beauty of things in a big way for me.

You haven't encountered it? If so, try making a Pinnacle 6 (metallic gold upper) or a Black Infrared 6 (suede upper) and how they really look like. At the shoe edit screen, they look perfect. Try equipping them, and you'll see what I mean.

I've been watching @Hawktastic12 tweets for a while and it has been mentioned to him a month ago and he said he would take it to 2K be cause its a technical issue. Maybe 2K doesn't have a fix for it and he can say anything. This guy has been very good with sneaker request and putting out info about when or if shoes will be added so please lets not start bashing this dude and he gets like everyone else and goes missing because of negativity. When it's something he has control over he addresses it immediately. When its not he says he'll pass it on to 2K so I'm going to say that its a 2K issue. His latest tweet also indicated that the WOW 5 and the WOW 5 City will be added.

All these Curry 3 and KD 9 color ways are so unnecessary. Why not just colorblock the "model" like that instead of 20+ fake colorways?

Doubt he did. He replied to me a couple of times about shoe releases and what kicks would be coming out. Then again, we do have to consider that sometimes surprises are actually a good thing.

All these Curry 3 and KD 9 color ways are so unnecessary. Why not just colorblock the "model" like that instead of 20+ fake colorways?

IMO, it adds a little extra flavor. The option to use, say...a Crazylightboost 2016 that's just green and white for the Celtics, or be a little creative and use the one with the gold-ish trim. Helps us possibly separate some players and gives them a little bit of individuality. I get it, we need more PEs, but considering the job they've done on actually giving us a ton of sneaker options, I'd say let's just be contented for now and see what else could be added real soon.

Helps us possibly separate some players and gives them a little bit of individuality. I get it, we need more PEs, but considering the job they've done on actually giving us a ton of sneaker options, I'd say let's just be contented for now and see what else could be added real soon.

NBA live 10 did a great job of the correct color ways multiple color ways and not any made up shoes.

I hear you loud and clear, chief. On the bright side, some could look close to PEs. Saves us extra space for more custom ones. Good example is the royal blue with white logo KD8 that Ian Clark wears now, and it's a readily available CW. That extra slot could be used for a PE we can make ourselves for other guys we'd want PEs for

Yes but if the model is colorblocked the way all these fake colorways are, you could use "model" for most players and if you want "extra flavor" you can create your own custom colorway. There's no reason 2K should add all these fake colorways but the "SC Camo" colorway, a real shoe that Steph actually wears, isn't even in the game and isn't creatable
