It also has to do with what version if controllers you have.
Not a 2k problem...it's on many games on PS4
So don't even start with this 2k complaing stuff. Not their fault. GTAV has had this problem for 2+ years.

I have this too and cant enjoy the Game2k should be able to change this because this wasnt an issue in previous games. Mike Wang also said they can fix this easily and apperantly they can because the Prelude patch fixed the issue for some people.

Yup having the same issue I had in Prelude. Can't consistently sprint without the ball. If I double tap it, it seems to kick in occasionally. But even that doesn't work all the time. It's frankly making me not even want to play because of all the times causes me mess up a play by getting burned on defense, not able to take off on a fast break, etc. Extra disappointing since Mike promised this was fixed.Comment

Re: Does anybody still have the issue to sprint (using r2) after update?
How is this not a 2k problem when R2 is working just fine in every other game we play? Just hopped off Destiny, Deus Ex, and Driveclub. All games that use R2 a LOT. Worked fine each and every time. And just tested it in 2k16 and it was fine as well. But 2k17 is having trouble with consistent response on the original ps4 controllers? Yes, that would sound like a 2k problemComment

Just curious...But has anyone actually went out and purchased a new controller and had that fix the problem for them in this game specifically?Comment

Re: Does anybody still have the issue to sprint (using r2) after update?
First of all, some people including me using a brand new controller.
Second, our controller can sprint normally when player is in on ball offense. Besides that, we have no issues to sprint in 2K16.
I think it's pretty clear that this is 2K's issueComment

I tried a game player locked as James Harden and seemed to be able to sprint okay (PS4). I haven't tried My Player yet because I haven't been able to get the scan to work right. If it works on player lock, should I assume it'll work on My Player?Comment

Re: Does anybody still have the issue to sprint (using r2) after update?
Can those who are experiencing the problem in retail please boot up your game if you're not already on. You should see a New Content Available dialog. Please respond to this thread and let me know if the issue is fixed.
You should see your Fatigue meter draining quickly if Turbo is working properly.
Thanks.
And sorry again for the inconvenience.Comment
