Is NBA 2K17 The Prelude a part of the full game or separate?

Like, is there extra content with the college teams which isn't in NBA 2K17 retail, or is it just the beginning copied out available to play for free?

Just lets you be ready to be drafted on the full game. You dont have to play the intro

Everything you do in the prelude can be done in the main game.

Is there anything added into the full game that we would miss by only playing the prelude? Extra scenes or something like that?

Yeah I wonder the same thing.

Do I have to load The Prelude first to continue my career or can this be done through 2K17. I'm assuming the latter because it will probably load your player via the 2K network?

You can delete the prelude, all the prelude does is let you play the intro to MyCareer.

No. The prelude just lets you get a head start.

So can we safely delete the prelude ? Or do we have to keep it installed until after our first game in the full game ?

Once you've earned all the achievements there's no need to keep the Prelude around. I deleted mine. I'm gonna start over anyways. I picked a C for it and I wanna be a PG.

You don't need the prelude. It's just the first chapter of the full game.
