Decided to do a MY GM from the start of the 2016 off season and man did the land scape of the NBA change. I didn't pay much attention to the offseason signings but my Bulls made some big moves and are ranked 4th in the NBA in some power rankings.

Starting 5 Hasn't yet been determined but the roster is shaped as such:

We still have $855K of cap space, and $20M luxury tax room. Going into 2017-18 off season we will have 44.27M of est. cap space. Another change we made to the team was Rick Carlisle becoming head coach and Tim Duncan coming in as Asst Coach.

I've got a MyLeague that is in the FA portion of the 2017 off-season. I simmed the 2016-17 year and got most things correct, and had the Warriors beat the Cavs 4-1 in the Finals and Durant win Finals MVP (Westbrook won regular season MVP).

I did the entire draft and am just keeping pace with FA signings right now. Once the big names are all off the board, I'll start up my final MyLeague of the year.

Not sure which team I'll be doing. In the past I've done my Hornets, but they had a pretty good offseason so that doesn't seem likely. I'll probably either do an expansion Seattle or Pittsburgh, or the Knicks depending upon what happens with Melo/Porzingis.

Chugging along with the Indiana Pacers. I was curious as to what some potential options were in the coming years without PG13, so I'm hoping to mold Myles Turner into a perennial All Star.

I'm a little more inclined to begin a 'Process' type rebuild, but I know that's not realistically an option for the ownership in Indy, so we'll see where the coming weeks take us. I like our first round selection in Leaf, and I love the additions of Dipo and Sabonis [in-game ofc], so I think 2018-19 could be a surprising season with a weakened East.

Feel like I've got one more MyLeague in me this year (aside from continuing ones I already started).

So I've decided to go completely non-sim.

- Expand league to 36 teams.
- Rebrand ALL teams(And move a good few)
- Bring back a handful of legends, closer to modern era players the better (no MJ etc, >00s). Not sure how many yet.
- Fantasy draft.

By the end the league should be almost unrecognisable. Which is sort of the point. Never done anything like this before so I'm intrigued to see if it can hold my attention when the finals is Vince Carter and the Memphis Blues vs LeBron James and the Montreal RubberDuckies or whatever.

I'll probably control all teams for the draft to make sure nothing dumb happens and then switch to just one team.

What's a balanced number of Superstars/Starters/Rotational/Potential types to bring in via draft classes each year? I'm considering going back to some previous drafts to recreate "powerful" classes and a couple "bust" years.

My buddy and I started an online MyLeague and did a fantasy draft. I chose the Hornets (Spurs for him so we're in opposite conferences). Made a couple small trades to help my bench but I really like my squad (7-1 so far)

PG- Jrue Holiday/Cory Joseph
SG- Buddy Hield/JR Smith
SF- Gordon Hayward/CJ Miles
PF- Jabari Parker/Deyonta Davis
C- Kyle O'Quinn/Al Jefferson

Currently have 5 guys averaging double figures with Jabari crushing it with 22-9, but has gone for 30 pt double-doubles in back to back games.

I was going to start a whole new post about 2k18 My GM mode but I'll just tag along here. What do y'all think is the most enjoyable long term type of team to takeover?
A) expansion team
B) bad team rebuild (Hawks)
C) middle of pack team, no tear down, try to win from the beginning.

I'd prob have to say taking middle of the road historically mediocre team garners the most fun for me. Currently with the Blazers and enjoying a decent start.

Quick question, my quarter length is at 10 mins. I have sim quarter at 10 as well but was 12 when started. Is there a way to make all cpu stats reflect 10 min versus 12? or should changing sim length be it? Because some of my final scores on these games are 120-130+. I know 'normalizes played to sim' only reflects user, correct? thanks in advance.

I recently started myleague expansion adding in St Louis and my team the Vancouver Dragons. I turned trade logic off and created a reasonable team as I wanted to be equivalent to current Blazers or Last season Jazz where we were late seed but decent core to build around. Noone with 90+ rating or pot and only 3 guys over 80 allowed.

Myself as created player ( 82 overall 88 pot) good inside scorer on offense but no midrange or 3 shooting, solid sb/steals but bad on ball def, great rebounder, modeled after myself when I play pickup.

Figured my custom player, love, and Capela were really good combo, love provides the first option offense and is a stretch 4. Capela is good rebounder, rim protector, and pnroller.

I simply regular season and play the playoffs.

Klove got hurt early on in like the 7th game which really worried me as I played the first 2 games of the season to get acquainted and I literally could not score without him. I lost first game I played and won the 2nd barely while putting up 50/11 with love just on pick and rolls/fades.

Somehow simming got me the 2 seed in the west which means my team is a but more talented that I wanted. And I have 7 seeded clippers. Which I'm tied 1-1 now. Lost game 1 as I figured out how I was going to run my offense without Love, my new starting PF is Lauri Marrkenan. Then game 2 I learned how to set up some plays and managed to hit some 3s finally as I had hit ~5 total in the 3 games I had played. Holiday made 4/9 with B 3 point rating and Nick young went off for 7/11 3s. I also went small ball bringing markennan off the bench because I knew BG would abuse him offensively and double teamed him in there post and he still got 25 points on 11/15 shooting. They would've won if he got more shots I suck at all defense.

I've been playing with Armours higher difficulty sliders and I'll probably jump up as I learn to run an offense and get better on defense. I'm likely expecting a 2nd round exit and I would guess this series with the clippers goes to 6 games most likely. But I have the Rockets most likely in the next round and I'm not going to stop them. (I also forced traded Melo to the rockets at the beginning of the season)

I wanted to start a 17-18 Knicks playthrough so I simmed the first season.

Thanks to being on PC, I was able to get the Free agency very close to real life. A good amount of first round rookies have custom cyberfaces. I was able to add Milos Teodosic to the Clippers.

First thing I did was resign Derrick Rose to a 2 year, $16 million contract and traded him, Ron Baker, Lance Thomas, and a 2nd round pick to the Clippers for Patrick Beverley, Wesley Johnson, and Luc Mbah Moute.

I then traded Courtney Lee and 2nd round switch to the Hawks for Marco Belinelli.

Next, Carmelo Anthony and Wesley Johnson for Ryan Anderson and Trevor Ariza.

Finally, I traded Ryan Anderson to the Bulls for a 2nd round pick and Paul Zipser.

As you can see, I gave up on getting back young talent or picks, I used this scenario to cap dump as much as possible. The only bad contract I currently have is Noah.

My current rotation is as follows:

PG - Patrick Beverly
SG - Tim Hardaway Jr.
SF - Trevor Ariza
PF - PorzinGOD
C - Willy Hernangomez

6 - Luc Mbah Moute
7 - Frank Nilikita
8 - Joakim Noah
9 - Marco Benelli
10 - Kyle O'Quinn

Right now, I'm loving this team! Defense has been top notch and offense has been running good. Porzingis (26ppg) and Hardaway (22 ppg) has taken the scoring load while everyone else is playing on par with the prior year. Trevor Ariza (11 ppg) and Luc Mbah Moute has done a great job of fill the gap left by Melo (Mbah Moute's shooting attributes are amazing, he jumps to a 79 ovr when switched to SF)

After 21 games, we are setting at 14-7, including a win over the Warriors.

I'm surprised to be first in the Atlantic, both the Celtics and Raptors seem to be struggling, I only played and lost to the Raptors once out of the two teams so far.

The Bucks are leading the East with 18 wins and the Warriors are on top of the West with 19 wins.

I took a quick peek at the Cavaliers, and noticed they are mission Love for 4-6 months and are setting 3rd in the East (I'm 4). I wonder if I can lure LeBron away in the offseason!

I have so much VC than I need I just decided to purchase MyGM team for 50K. Now I wonder who creates objectives.
