Re: Official NBA 2K17 Badge Thread
Does acrobat help when taking layups? If it does I'm a make a 6'6 Slashing SG.
How do you get the grand badge? I see people get it at different times. Not sure what the requirements are for Slasher Pro.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 Badge Thread
Relentless Finisher doesn't help with layups. I been saying this for a few days now. It only helps reduce energy lost on contact shots. The badge description says nothing about increasing success rate when taking a layup. IMO that what the badge should do seeing how all the other archetypes have badges that boost what they already do.
I haven't seen what you posted, but you may be on to something about NBA players missing layups.
Seen that grand badges work in the park now. Hopefully Slasher Pro helps me out whenever I get it. Just missing Tear dropper, and need to get Lob city finisher and One man fastbreak HoF.
The only constant I found was Relentless Finisher badge. I think there is a statistical significance on how it changes contested layups.
- Jimmy Butler, bronze badge, works fine
- Rondo, no badge, around 40 strength, great finisher
- John Wall, bronze badge, great finisher
- MyPlayer, All HOF badges and grand badge, makes 1/100 contact layups, sometimes I pull out a decent John Wall acrobatic layup to avoid contact alltogether, those go in.
- Orlando Shaq HOF badge, same issue, instant F on contact
- Lebron, gold badge, makes 1/100 contact layups.
- Westbrook, gold badge, not sure about him. Straight Contact layups miss often, but whenever actrobat triggers, he has a decent chance of making them.
The problem is, I only have my game as sample size, nobody confirmed or denied my finding yets, thats why I asked for someone to test it.Last edited by ChuckNorrisSlasher; 09-27-2016, 05:17 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 Badge Thread
2K kills me with giving into the crying. Now, they are lowing the requirements for badges.
If people aren't good enough to get badges, they shouldn't get them. And most people are playing on rookie anyways. These badges are supposed to separate players.
I know badges is annoying to grind for but like I said, I believe they should separate people. So hopefully in 2K18, you cannot gain badges on Rookie or Pro. At the least All-Star. I feel that would make a lot of people just play how they play and get the badges they get by how they actually play.
Hate how these badges turned into like Park Cards. Going to hate seeing what the Grand Badge do for sharp shooters.

Re: Official NBA 2K17 Badge Thread
I agree with you on one condition. I love the idea of people getting badges simply based on how they play regularly. But then don't restrict us to only 5 upgradable badges. Maybe I'm a Glass Cleaner but I'm really good at getting Post Hooks. I should be able to earn an upgradable badge for it lol
I wouldn't mind the 5 upgradable badges + 3 of your choice to silver or something like that.PSN: ODB_BZA

I don't agree w/ only 5 either. Especially preselected ones. Because it's still making a lot of people the same. A lot of people wouldn't agree. But I think it should be levels. I have a few ideas.
One idea: Maybe we can allow badges for pro but you can get badges to only bronze. All-Star, Silver it only goes up to silver. Superstar Gold and HOF you get the HOF version. But maybe since HOF and SS is both difficult, you can earn gold and HOF versions on those.
Second idea: You don't pay for badges to upgrade but instead, I know people will hate it because of the grind but like the HOF version is, there is a requirement for each version. And this has to be done on at least Pro.
I don't know. I am just brain storming. I just hate the way it's setup right now. That you can just go to rookie and grind for badges. 9/10 most people is on rookie doing stuff they don't normally do to get a badge easily. At least on All-Star it'll require actual skills or you'll be shooting a terrible FG% to get something like Posterizer.
