I actually like it...not trying to discount your experiences but let me ask: how else would you separate teams by talent? What mechanics would you use? I really dig how 2K does it with depth & subtlety. Watch some hoops this year and notice how the worse teams foul too much and very often the wrong guy at the wrong time, have bad or late rotations, don't rebound and turn the ball over, in addition to not finishing. Its alot more than "the good team just makes more shots than the bad one"...

I never really understood the mentality of "nothing happens outside my control"....i've noticed its really prevalent in Madden players. Which makes sense because EA wants you to have "fun" and never wants their users frustrated...its why in Madden penalties are rare and there's little variety between players. Think about it, have you ever seen a PI call in a Madden game? When's the last time you saw a false start or a hold? (the most popular penalty in the NFL) Look at the QB play: you can take the worst QB in the NFL and if you're good at passing the ball he'll look like Montana. Its like they babysit you and want everyone to feel like they can compete.....and everyone in Madden has decent ratings. Most teams have a player in the 90s, which is crazy.

I guess many of us want more than that...I know I do. Last year 2K nailed the talent gap between teams. I had a losing record online with Philly because there were instances where my guys did all of the above. It was the first time that happened to me in a sports game...I was ok with it too, because it felt realistic. It was also by far the most challenging, rewarding, frustrating gaming experience i've ever had. It was an uphill climb to get wins, I literally had to overcome adversity every time I won.

Every opinion is valid but maybe you'd prefer offline play where you can make the sliders do whatever you want until the game feels right to you. And i'm not trying to be sarcastic or demeaning.

Completely disagree. You can punish scrubs hard this year.

Keep in mind Mike Wang confirmed there's no comeback code, cheat code, "keep scores close" or anything of the sort. Also, 2K has probably the most organic and varied outcomes in sports gaming. But I hey, no problem....I get it. You can blame the game...or somebody else, so the game is gonna lose.

Not gonna pretend I didn't feel like you when I was a teenager. It's all in your head tho. just sayin'...
