    Re: NBA 2k18 Wish List

    More classic teams and players.

    Bring back Steve Nash.

And if we're wishing, might as well go big: Somehow talk Reggie Miller and Charles Barkley into actually being in the game as playable characters.

      Re: NBA 2k18 Wish List

I love My Little Things Ideas here's more.

      1. During timeouts have a little camera box on the bottom right part of the screen showing highlights sometimes

      2. After halftime show animated commentaters discussing stats and then have it cut to an animated Doris Burke discussing coaches gameplan etc. Just like how a real life broadcast is done in the nba

      3. In the shaq/ernie/kenny studio the 2k screen sign in the front of the desk have it cut to highlights in that screen to add more life to the studio

      4. Coaches should recieve a sideline warning or a technical for walking outside the coaches box to argue a call with a referee

      5. The little things when a player performs a euro step or hop step the defensive player should signal a travel violation animation in protest

      6. The little things players lined up away from freethrow line while his teammate shoots freethrows will sometimes orchestrate or direct another teammate where to line-up or to switch with him

      7. When a player shoots an airball the opposing crowd needs to chant " Airball.....Airball"

      8. Be able to take charges with your hands up

      9. The little things prior to an inbound pass from the sideline or baseline players will sometimes gesture a playcall animation ( holding their hands up to form a box or triangle)

      10. Have AI use Rolling inbounds pass to save time on the clock

        Re: NBA 2k18 Wish List

        More Little Thing Ideas.

        8. The little things inbound play where you could hit the back of the defender and you recover it

        9. The little things when a player falls to the ground I want them to get up and brace their wrist shaking it a little wincing in pain like its hurt and checking their fingers like if they jammed them. They don't need to miss any plays because of it but little things like this go a long way when it comes to immersion

        10. I want players who are tired from playing long minutes to bend down having their hands on their knees and breathing through their mouth gasping for air

        11. During halftime when players are walking off the court I want them high fiving home fans and too be heckled, booed by away fans. You should show a cutscene of the away fans animating the boo sign while players walk off the court

        1. When jumping into a jumpshooter causing a foul make some offensive fouls out of those situations too from leg kickouts (a la Reggie miller) or have a canned animation where the defender jumps to the side of the jumpshooter and the jumpshooter trys to lean in to the defender causing the offensive foul

        5. The little things on dunks, facials and rebounds you should hear players scream or grunt most of the time playing I barely hear them make any noise

        7. The little things a celebration a player should do is after hitting a game winning shot than afterwards being swarmed by teammates is popping their jersey showing which team they rep

        2. The Little Things like Reverse Calls from referees, when two referees have different opinions on a call made and they come together to change the call (The Little Things)

        3. Players that go to the bench should sometimes put on a team sweater or sometimes sweatpants to avoid getting cold and stiff (The Little Things)

        4. The Little Things the fans should all stand up and applause (clapping animation) when players on their team perform hustle plays like diving for the ball, grabbing two consecutive offensive boards, get charge calls etc. (The Little Things)

          Re: NBA 2k18 Wish List

Little Things Ideas brings immersion to the gamer and 2k are the king of Little Things so I brought you guys more ideas.

          1. The little things have legends and celebrities sitting in the crowd during All Star Weekend

          4. I want a dunk-on animation where the defender lands flat on his back and the dunker lands standing right over him giving him that mean mug

          6. The little things manually able to perform a hip-check on an opponent to create a little space when going up strong for a layup/dunk would be cool

          7. The little things hearing players yell phrases in a Generic voice like it was on Dreamcast. They could say " and 1" or " he fouled me ref", and after they jam it they yell "AAAHH....Lets Go....Lets Go". Or if they block a shot/layup they would yell " Get it out of here". (MIGHT BE IN THE GAME ALREADY)

          8. The little things when a player is on a fastbreak about to go for a layup/dunk if there's a defender behind him, that players head would be on a swivel looking left/right and maybe slowing down to gather himself before the layup/dunk

          9. The little things when you have an offensive player backing down in post position when you double tap the turbo button, you can have your post player dip his shoulder into the defender creating separation sometimes being called for the offensive foul. Could be a player specific post move

I think it is purely a cash grab but it really kills immersion, which is what the whole mode is about.

I haven't been able to trigger orange juice yet because I get no minutes and coz I suck when I'm in, yet commentators are like 'these guys have such a great rapport on the court'.

Its really shameful by the 2k Devs to not give people who refuse to buy VC an option to enjoy the game mode straight out the box.

1.After doing a handoff, the big man should screen the chasing defender after the handoff.
              2. Integrate Euroleague into MyCareer. Give a player the option to either go to play in Europe for at least a year straight out of high school like Brandon Jennings, or go to college. Major emphasis here though - don't bother integrating it if the atmosphere of a Euroleague match cannot be recreated. It's simply not worth it to be playing for Fernerbace and for the arena to sound like Brooklyn or a D-League team.

                Re: NBA 2k18 Wish List

                Roster:
                • GLOBAL EDITING.
                • Anything on a slider at the least should be editable in the quick edit screen. That means things like peak age start/end, jersey numbers, attributes, tendencies, hot spots, even sig shots (without display obviously)
                • Introduce Tertiary positions. LeBron, Ben Simmons, Antetokounmpo, Paul George etc all play multiple positions. Perhaps have a option for "Position oN Defense". Ben Simmons and Antetokounmpo might guard PF and SF respectively but will be the PG for offense
                • Advanced Rotations outside of MyLeague
                • Ability to create coaches using CAP, and/or change existing coaches names
                • CHANGE THE AGE OF HISTORICAL PLAYERS
                • Release/add directly to Euroleague rather than trading

                Free Agency:
                • If there's no reason other that to make it more condensed for casuals, then don't cull the Free Agent pool every year. In real life, some players leave the NBA, play overseas, and come back after honing their craft or after trying out for a team. Alan Anderson, P.J. Tucker, Yi Jianlian are few that come to recent mind. But in 2K17, they've removed every free agent that did not play in 2015-16. I STRONGLY think that the Free Agent pool should be quite large, and ideally keep hold of free agents from the last 4-5 years.
                • This might seem like a lot of players, and yes, it is. But for MyLeague die-hards, this is an extra level of variety and authenticity. When we enter a new MyLeague, let us Choose our free agent pool. Bring up a screen with check boxes - by default everyone is selected, but you can deselect any free agents you don't want to appear in the FA pool.
                • For casuals, or those maybe only doing a single season, the option to have the CPU pick the 100 most recent FAs will be available.
                • To add, do not have players "retired" by having them vanish after inactivity.
                • Elton Brand retired last year, and came out of retirement to play halfway through 15-16. Things happen, situations arise.
                • If players "retire" or leave the FA pool due to inactivity, have them fall into a different menu, and as GM, be able to convince them to join the NBA again.
                • Larry Sanders is no longer available in the game, but in real life he is getting closer to wanting a shot at the NBA again - I can't replicate this anymore.

                MyLeague:
                • Allow us to pick what players, upon retirement will become coaches. Or have a badge/option in Edit Player that ties to the tendency of them becoming a coach. You have a vague "Hall of Fame score" which has guys like KG, Ray Allen and Vince Carter become coaches, but also Luke Ridnour? We've had role players like Tyronn Lue, Luke Walton, Brian Scalabrine become assistant coaches, some moving to HC - how low on the HOF Score are they?
                • Player retirements: Yes players will retire, but players don't retire in real life without first discussing this with the team. We need to be able to defer their retirements by more than one season. The game has a tendency of having guys retire well before 36 years old. You will never get a KG, Andre Miller, Vincer Carter etc with a young player.
                • If no fully-fledged D-League or Euroleague integration, then PLEASE having it text-based"
There is currently no good use of the Euroleague teams. They have vague contract details sure, but imagine if you could track Euro free agents, and sign some as they come off contract like in real life.
Just this offseason, Malcolm Delaney, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Tomas Satoransky and Dario Saric have been signed from Euroleague teams.
                • Make use of a text-base D-League to track free agents. Attributes are fine, but I can get a better idea of the production of a Free Agent is there was some draft-type scouting available. Have the D-League be a text-based simulation for the purpose of giving some substance to a certain amount of free agents.
                • Like in real life, it is so imperative that if young players can't get on the court, that they get meaningful minutes in the D-League. Previously when 2K had the D-League, your players never actually developed - it was a way just to get 2 free roster spots.
                • If you place a player in your D-League affiliate, they will generally get a starting job and big minutes - this is going to affect their development - or at the least, keep them at a level that would otherwise stagnate if left at the end of the bench.
                • They can also get simulated injuries and fatigue from D-League minutes. If a player if fatigued, he may get called back up to the team - and put on the bench, but attend conditioning trainings etc.

                • Let US pick All-Star reserves, let the CPU give us recommendations - we are the coach after all.
                • Change the location of All-Star each year - randomly generate the arena - it surely wouldn't be hard to mock up an all star court for all 30 arenas. After the current year official one - just have a generic All-Star logo for the 30 teams, that changes color each year based on the hosting team's colors.
                • Or better yet, allow us to create that years All-Star logo, dornas, courts. Make it so you can change the all-star logo every year, or re-use it if you wish.
                • Better stat tracking from the roster. If I "Start Today", Games Started MUST be included, otherwise it adversely effects the 6th Man Award. Historical season averages for all players on the roster who have played in the NBA - Players added to the roster often have their stats and career highs vacant. If Rudy Fernandez is on Real Madrid, I still want to see what he averaged in the NBA.

                Create-a-Player
                • Let us scan for CAPs. Ideally, we could upload pictures to morph to a CAPs face - if that's too advanced then 2K needs to at least have face scans for CAP
                • Overhaul CAP - PLEASE use WWE's CAW engine. Keep all the NBA 2K hair, but add ALL the WWE Hair and appropriate features.
                • For body and facial features, sliders are cumbersome - you MUST have grid displays
                • Have a bookmark/favourites for often used features - no more looking for "Eyebrows 17"

                  Re: NBA 2k18 Wish List

I feel like one of the number #1 priorities for 2k18, has to be overhauling the CAP system...it's borderline impossible to create realistic looking white guys in this game...I'm fully expecting a CAP system on par with WWE 2k's next year...we need more skin tones, hair styles, a variety of body types to choose from, and the ability to import faces from an uploaded photo...this would solve all of their issues with the legends that don't want their likeness in the game. We can create them to perfection and 2k won't even have to go through the hassle of signing them to contracts.

Another thing I'm expecting for 2k18 is for custom jumpers & team creations to be their own standalone features...I think 10-15 create a team slots would be so much better than having to rebrand/relocate teams in MyLeague...some times you just wanna use em during play now mode.

Being able to call timeouts midair when ball goes out of bounds or attempt to throw ball off of of other team players. Just thinking maybe things could move in slow motion for a bit, just brainstorming on this idea off the top of my head please 2k expand on this further.

Lose the rubber backboard stanchions - kills immersion for me seeing them wobble like mad. Gen 3 had a better idea of how it should be haha.

Lose the "starving children" body types (some of the new skinnier legs look terrific IMO - right direction which is great!).

Lower the amount of time a bank shot swishes - again, small cosmetic immersion thing IMO.

Keep pushing forward with some of the arena specific sounds.

Nail down MJ once and for all. Haha.

Then I'm personally a happy chappy with 2K18 Want to keep it cosmetic for now as that may be the easier stuff.

                          1. A full fledge halftime show. Id take it being back to how it was with Damon Bruce.

                          2. Completely overhaul the CAP. It's well past time. Also. Allow us to add tats and nicknames to players.

                          3. Piggybacking off that allow us to assign a voice to CAPs. Just get some voice actor to record a bunch of generic lines in different voices so that we don't lose halftime and sit down interviews in ML after all the real NBA players are gone.

                          4. NBDL/Euroleague integration in ML in any capacity.

                          5. Make the draft simple. Have the players simply get up, don a cap and go up to shake the commish ears hand.

                          6. Stat overlays. We need more of them; I shouldn't have to wonder how good or bad a free throw shooter is when he's up at the line. I've seen it once or twice but I want to see how many points a player is averaging a game. It shows occasionally when spotlighting a player but it needs to be more frequent.

Even tho we are all narcissists, apparently, I think it would be fun to change the looks of each individual my player.

It's kind of funny tho you got your PG, SF and then your C and it's like you just stepped into some sort of a machine that makes you bigger.

                            Let us skip cutscenes again.

                              * Ability to edit every body part. Thickness and length.

                              * Give us 3 different size jerseys/shorts to edit on players. Tight, normal, baggy.

                              * More ball/rim animation variation. Been an issue for a few year now. But most made layups/close shots are banked, and then nothing but net. No rolling on rim, etc.

                              * Put the ability to rotate the player when editing jump shots back in. Not sure why it was even taken out last year.
