Are 98 Overall MyPlayers with 150 Upgrades Getting Banned/Deleted?
I got a strong feeling the ban hammer will rain down on many of the glitch abusers... Can't remember if it was LD2K or Ronnie who mentioned it on Twitter, but it boiled down to 2K being able to tell by where you are in your MyCareer compared to your rating and upgrades.
Jerks have been trying to find a shortcut ever since the dawn of video games, 2K is trying to push their title into the 3Sports realm & having a ton of cheaters in their next RTTF equivalent isn't a good look. They're gonna make examples out of people.
I hope they console & IP ban them, I hope the girl they crush on has a baby by that guy they hate & their job treats them like Craig and fires them on their day off.Last edited by MFDOOMBOT; 09-27-2016, 07:24 AM.Just Remember ALL CAPS When you spell the man's name

So I went ahead to test the theory if its possible or not to make over 95 overall in MyCareer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG7WIqFXEzY
This is post-game update that closed the grind glitch, and in my video I show my complete practice run to substantiate I didn't use the glitch.
My theory is the 10 upgrade points from MyPark either are/or were suppose to be alternatives for people who didnt want to MyCareer grind, and not the only way to obtain them. That or the process is just glitchedComment

2k isn't banning anyone for doing the glitch. A guy name Kobe did go from a 98 to a 87 overall according to some people on twitch last night. I think he even posted it on Twitter last night as well. I doubt 2k can track down all the people who did the glitch honestly unless the community snitches.Comment

It could be that the same glitch that people used were inadvertently gained accidently by some. Why would he glitch and only get 2 and why post a screenshot?Comment

You play the game very well, you enjoy gameplay and then you go Mypark to enjoy this game with people who also love it and know what fun of basketball is about. And then those cheaters just killing it all for you. 2k must do something about it.
And yes, all this grand and hall of fame badges are really bad, bad ideas to put in the game. It seems like 2K these days thinks more about how cool it would be instead hof what impact it will have on the game of basketball, especially online. It's OP and not needed. Biggest fun is when players can play and win games because of their skill and bball IQ advantages over each other and not hitting green on a shot meter with step back three all the time with grand badges. It's 2k who encourge people to be more cheaters.Comment

How many games you've played in your mycareer
how many practices you've completed w a full Down' Work bar
how many upgrades your player has and when they were granted.
querying this type of data across their servers would give them a list of all players that had more upgrades than they would by playing the game naturally which they could (and hopefully will) use to ban these chumps into 2K18.Just Remember ALL CAPS When you spell the man's name

I wish they would have made us grind from bronze to silver to gold, and finally to HoF. This would cause people to stop after silver, or gold which would lead to a more unique online experience.
Going into the park already there are people who refuse to get badges, I have a friend that has 1 badge and that's it, but has played over 300 MyPark games, he's simply too lazy to get the rest.PSN: ODB_BZA

I'm in the park right now and there's this squad that are all 97 overall. SO far no one can beat them and they never miss a shot. No matter what. They are all sharpshooters btw.Comment

Maybe they're just better? 97ovr or 86ovr, shooting bar is capped at 25. Those guys just have stuff like rebounding and playmaking upgraded.Comment

Re: Are 98 Overall MyPlayers with 150 Upgrades Getting Banned/Deleted?
Why do we have play My Park to upgrade our player further in MY CAREER? This was a stupid decision by 2K so yeah players exploited it. They just totally gave the middle finger to the offline My Career players. Some of us don't like/play My Park and don't have the time nor patience to grind in a game mode they dont like to make the player they want to make for MY CAREER. I can't emphasize that even more.Comment
