Hedo Turkoglu has always been one of my fav players in real life, esp his time with Orlando, personally love point forward, and he is one of the top players ever played with that role, running those picks and roll with Dwight, so in Today's game, who you think play like him most, the ones I can think of right away is Chandler Parsons, not sure if Gordon Hayward or Danilo Gallinari are this type of player as well?

Well besides LeBron. I'd have to say the Greek Freak and Draymond Green

Yea definitely, i would also say Kevin Durant with his versatile ability all over the court as a special player and maybe Simmons in the future..

Re: Today's Hedo Turkoglu?
Re: Today's Hedo Turkoglu?
Durant is too good to be compared to Hedo, because Hedo is only a boarder line allstar player which I don't think he actually made any appearance before, so maybe more of a star player but not superstar like Durant? As for Green, he doesn't have the handles Hedo does, and Greek Freak can't shoot like Hedo...Comment

I like Parsons as a conparison. Very talented and similar player. A bit more athletic but less consistent. I think you kinda nailed itStudent of the game. #Fundamentals

Re: Today's Hedo Turkoglu?

using bball ref the only players with similar per 36 #'s as turk in the past 3 seasons are
lebron, durant, harden, griffin, curry, paul george, parsons, and kevin love
paul pierce did it in 2012..and he actually might be the closest thing to turkoglu right now even though hes ancientComment

Re: Today's Hedo Turkoglu?
This would be my choice. He's better on the glass, and might not be quite the shooter that Hedo was, but his game mirrors Turkoglu the most. His learning curve shouldn't be as long as Turkoglu's was either. He's more prepared to make an immediate impact.Comment

Re: Today's Hedo Turkoglu?
Prime Hedo Turkoglu (Age 28, 2008 season)
17.8 PER (career high)
58 TS% on 25 USG%
3 ORB% and 14 DRB%
23 AST%
1.3 STL% and 0.6 BLK%
Shooting
Rim: 59%
Close: 38%
Mid: 41%
3pt: 40%
FT: 83%
What was notable about Turkoglu was that he lead the team in USG% even though he was nowhere close to being your typical star.
Orlando's Usage
24% D.Howard
21% R.Lewis
25% H.Turkoglu
14% K.Bogans
19% J.Nelson
I would look at point forwards (which require a non-dominant PG) who play with a star-caliber big they are sharing touches with.
Someone mentioned Paul Pierce and his older version with the big three is a good example
Old Pierce (Age 31, 2009 season)
17.7 PER
58 TS% on 25 USG% (USG lead team)
2 ORB% and 15 DRB%
16 AST%
1.4 STL% and 0.7 BLK%
Shooting
Rim: 55%
Close: 45%
Mid: 42%
3pt: 38%
FT: 83%
BOS Usage
15% K.Perkins
23% K.Garnett
25% P.Pierce
21% R.Allen
19% R.Rondo
Pierce played with a star big and a non-scoring PG. He wasn't required to be a point-forward so much with Rondo (he had higher AST% in years that Rondo was hurt), but he operated as the primary ball-handler when Rondo hit the bench since Rondo's backup was Eddie House (10 AST%).
Pierce obviously had a much higher ceiling than Turkoglu ever did, but functionally this is the closest answer you'll get. Ironically enough, Pierce is taking the same exact route out of the NBA that Turkoglu did, playing stretch-four at an advanced age for the Clippers.Last edited by Real2KInsider; 10-06-2016, 11:33 PM.NBA 2K25 Roster: Real 2K Rosters - Modern Era

Re: Today's Hedo Turkoglu?
AFA "Today" goes it's likely Chandler Parsons, who had 16 AST% last season for Dallas (now with Memphis). But he isn't really a "point forward" since Mike Conley is a better playmaker than Jameer Nelson and Marc Gasol isn't just a black hole finisher like Dwight Howard. As far as talent/ability/circumstance that's probably the closest comparison at present.NBA 2K25 Roster: Real 2K Rosters - Modern Era
