Dude no. I am on top 3 team on ps4. All are games yesterday we experienced the mass boot. It is 2k issue and it needs to be addressed soon.

How is this issue so convenient for the "top" players?

It would not surprise me at all if the "top teams" on Xbox One have figured out a way to make games not count by disconnecting everyone from the match if they have any doubt that they're not going to win.

Me neither.

Last year, the Pro-Am Road to the Finals rounds had similar issues where people were only playing against teams they knew they could beat.

If they saw they were matched with a top tier team, they'd all quit out before the game started and wait until they matched with scrubs.

The way you qualify for RTTF is way too open for cheating.

I wouldn't be surprised if top teams knew how to exploit this (what is sometimes a) legitimate problem.

Isn't the current situation if everybody (on one team) quits, the game doesn't count?

This is also why 2K should release either 2 different titles or 2 different sets of gameplay/sliders/tuners etc.

Playing online is always going to be a glitch/cheat/cheese fest. Always. Human nature. History proves it. We always find a way to make our task a lot less difficult. Video games are obviously no different, and if you think they are, then you're mistaken. Just look up some e-sport cheating and exploiting history.

I buy and play NBA 2K to play an NBA simulation basketball game, and to be frank I don't really care how what I want impacts online players'. That may sound entitled and honestly at this point, I don't care. I want an NBA title, and if it means I have to buy a separate title, then so be it. I'd gladly pay more for an NBA title (specifically NBA simulation and nothing more) or the current title with NBA simulation focused sliders/tuners/patches etc. I'm sure I'm not the only one either. The opportunity for them to make money via microtransactions will still be there because the people who buy VC will still continue to do so.

NBA is in the title. Not My Park, or Pro Am basketball or anything else. The amount of time and effort spent on all of these modes, while the actual NBA simulation aspect is still sorely lacking, is insulting to NBA sim customers.

Catering to either online players or offline isn't working, because 2K is trying to please both, yet they are missing the mark by a very large margin. It can obviously be done, but they are not doing it, or they can't, so it's time for them to change.

I can honestly say I've never wanted another title or company to swoop in and drop another game, as I've always enjoyed 2K. Since the inclusion of online play and other money making modes, and very specifically 2K16 and 2K17, that's changed. Sad times.

Every single game is getting us kicked in the 1st quarter. 2k needs to fix this. This is not an exploit or a glitch that we are using for our advantage.

Are people not listening to what I am saying? This is not some user made issue. I am from a top 3 pro am team on ps4. Yesterday, we tried to play 7 games and it mass booted people in the middle of the first quarter every game. We are 160-9. Our record is Legit and so are many otherS

Teams are already doing this. We had two squads in the top 25 dashboard after they seen the matchup. There's no penalty for it. SMH

What? We were up in every single game when the mass boot happened. We have 160 wins and 9 losses.


There is a mass boot in the first quarter around the 2 min mark in every game now. It may have something to do with the elite 4 status. I am not sure.

And that is usually a lost for them unless it kicked them during the loading time before they see your record. The past two days have been horrible. We haven't been able to get pass the first quarter without a mass boot. One game, it was stuck on the traveling to opponent's arena screen for 20 mins. We all just closed app after that.


If it kicks someone during the loading screen, the game doesn't count. So if you say an AI player start the gate but it doesn't have a zebra stripe sleeve then you know the game wont count. So most people, just leave when they see that.

It's not convenient whatsoever as we can't play the game consistently. It's frustrating because even if we jump out to a 20 point lead in the 1st qtr, as soon as multiple people get kicked at the same time, the game doesn't count and it's pointless. Take notice to the top teams barely getting any games in as of the last few days! 2k needs to fix this asap!!!!!! I have emailed 2ksupport, tweeted LD2K and posted on multiple threads about this issue!!

No, it happens no matter if we are winning or losing!!! (Usually winning which is why our record is so good) once it gets around that 2 min mark, it kicks 6 or 7 ppl, even if we are up by 10 or 15 points already. The **** is annoying!!!

They will continue to grow in popularity, the prize money will increase, the publishers, much of the media, and all the gamers participating in them will think of it as legit, but they're not going to be games that closely resemble the real sport at all.

I'm saying this about all of the real sports to esports games, not just 2K. Gameplay/A.I. that is a realistic representation of the actual sport is incompatible with what esports are about. It doesn't have to be that way, but it is the reality of how things are currently developing.
