The Lie 2k Doesn't Want You To Know About You Mycareer Player

2k got over on us GOOD this year!!!!!!! What 2k doesn't want you to know is that YOUR PLAYER NOT EVEN 95 overall when you get to 95.... I wrote all my ratings down on paper then went to create a player on a normal roster and when I did that the created player rating only came up to a 79 overall SMH!!!! I knew something was wrong cause I'm typically an expert on rosters & my mycareer player ratings wasn't looking like he was a 95 overall so I tested it myself & found out the TRUTH!!!!!!! 2k bamboozled the people yet again & IF YOU BOUGHT VC you should be pissed cause you bought VC to max out at about a 70 overall before you get all the practice upgrades..... IF YOU THINK IM LYING DO THIS YOURSELF & come back here & tell me your REAL rating..... I really hope this threat picks up enough steam that the word about this gets back to 2k somehow & they have to explain what's going on here smh

    Yeah, somebody posted this before.

He's still a 95 in the sense that you're playing against players rated on the same scale so it's not really that big a deal.

You mean to tell me this limited, one trick pony player I'm using in mycareer isn't really a 91 ovr? Well I'll be damned!

Go to player stats menu and check your Offense / Defense breakdown ratings. Im 91 ovr yet my Offense is 76 and Defense 70.

Meanwhile Jeff Teague and such players casually sport 80 / 80 ratings.

What are your ratings for Intangibles, Stamina, Shot IQ, Hands and Draw Foul? Those all have a big influence on player ratings.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. 2k did this last year as well so they water down abilities for their rttf.

I accounted for all those ratings as well also including offensive & defensive consistency & reaction time the created player overall rating was still 79

If its not a big deal then why lie about it instead of showing us our TRUE rating? The reason I think they didn't show us our true rating is because they KNEW people wouldn't buy VC if they knew they players would max out around 80...... Just think we invested over 150k (maybe way more) VC into a guy that's only around a 80 overall

This frustrates me but I know the 2k loyalist will just turn up their noses to this garbage. I wouldn't care if my teammates and opponents didnt play and feel like we're all on the same ratings scale. This just explains why my career plays so awful at times

Well I noticed this last year and well... meh. We are all in the same boat anyways. Why the "Inflated OVR", I like to call it? Dunno. But it doesn't stop us from putting up GOAT numbers, does it?

I've grinded for my VC so far , so I don't feel betrayed or anything.

Reason behind it? I'd like to know, sure, but it's no big deal to me.

I absolutely agree that vc sales play a prominent role in the lack of game transparency. That's a difficult sell for anyone. Spend £40 to upgrade your dude to an 80 not an appealing sales pitch.
