If the gameplay has changed, I'm not seeing it, still the CPU starts throwing the ball around the perimeter at a break neck speed when the shot clock is winding down, still your defender with the stop and start running losing his man, still no urgency on defense to fight over or through screens. These are tempered comments.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but it'll eventually work as long as you continue to accept his invite. It just randomly has to fall onto a day where you have nothing scheduled. I pretty much went two in-game months accepting Coach K invites every 2 days until the game randomly scheduled an event with him on a day where there was nothing else going on in that time slot and was able to get the creator.

Pretty crappy work-around but just want you to know there's hope at the end of the broken tunnel.

The thing is I'm not getting texts from him anymore. I had got about 3 none worked. Now it's been a few weeks and I haven't got a text from him. He's not even in my contacts list anymore.

Beluba said in another thread that those specific issues would be addressed in patch 1.05 (yeah there was a fifth in the works before the 4th released).

Oh... well that's something entirely different then. Coach K kept texting me every 2 days in my MyCareer, and I just kept going with the flow for the next 2 months or so till it finally worked.

Well, that was unexpected. So ... I guess PC users will see the patch a few days after Xbox users? PC just got 1.03 last week. Hopefully this fixes more things and corrects notable issues all around.

Looking at the timeline of things, it appears 2k likely released patch 1.03 to Steam around the time 1.04 was released to Sony. It's honestly a little insulting.

Not that I'm not happy about getting post-release support in the form of patches; but I strongly wonder why the "no software product is shipped finished" has become so acceptable nowadays.

I don't wanna hear the routine "technology wasn't the same back in the day so there are more issues now" jargon as a response to the FACT that we use to receive completed products back in the day & the 100% completion and integrity is what we paid for.

Now everyone just makes excuses and accepts 75% functionality of a more technical product (all products).

Try that at your job or school when something has a due date... **** is ridiculous to me personally.

Games werent shipping "finished" before patches either. I'm not sure if you were old enough to remember this but there was a time when companies like EA and 2k would release games that had major bugs, exploits or issues with modes...and never fix them until the next year's game.

We didnt get "more completed products" back in the day either. Thats just false. ****, games like NBA 2k2 and the NCAA series would have regular game crashes. People are complaining about smaller issues that 2k is willing and trying to fix.....can you imagine how pissed people would be if their game regularly crashed?

Back then, the only option people had to fixing game crashes was to wait until next years. I'm not saying that 2k should be encouraged to rely on patches to fix issues that couldve been fixed before release. But if they are willing to fix those issues in a timely manner....whats the big deal?

That's an exhaustive list. If you have issues with the game like most of us do that's fine. No software product is shipped "finished". Otherwise there would be no updates/patches. To claim the game is so much less finished than anything else simply because patches are being put out frequently is exaggerated whining.

On one hand, yes, it does get annoying. On the other hand, PC has a lot more variables to deal with -- everyone's rig is different and can be massively so. I can understand waiting, I'd rather not have to wait 2+ weeks for a new patch from the first time it's released, but it is what it is.

Sounds like we should expect the same treatment for the patch after this one as well. I'm hopeful that by opening tip of the regular season, all platforms are on the same patch and the game is as functional as the devs and consumers want it to be.

But I feel that we, as a consumer base, just need to tell 2K to not release until October next year. This September release and shortened dev cycle has played havoc with everyone. Give the devs that month back, the game needs it.

Ya I'm plenty old and I'm referring more so to products in general (I played Live back then). I just don't recall my games having as many or crippling issues like this back on Cbox, PlayStation, dreamcast, Nintendo and so on and certainly not outside of video games

They need to just release the Shot Creator FREE to everybody this isn't fair and it's broken. I dumped a bunch of cash into the game for 3 my players, grinded countless hours for badges etc and it's broke.

Since it looks like 2k has all these "devs" or senior members here posting in this thread...well answer to this. What the hell is going on with this shot creator? Who do I contact to fix this?

Why do they have to ship the game in September? I always thought early October was too sooo aswell. The nba season hasn't even started and rosters are not set. So why not wait some more weeks and test/fix some more things before the release.

Obviously I'm happy about every patch/fix they release. Espacially at this rate. They also could wait like 3 month before releasing a patch. But this also shows that they might sell it too early

Don't understand complaining about the patches, are you happy with the game, if not, then shut the hell up.

And about games not being complete at the release date, that's a whole another story which shouldn't take place here, let's keep it about this exact patch news.
