Its pretty much serious when they cant update roster almost week into a season.

Toned down in what modes? I feel you miss enough wide open 3's as is since patch 1.04. How much more does shooting need to be nerfed because guys can't play defense?

All you new Lockdown Defenders, if you think having maxed out defense & HOF badges will prevent 2k BS from happening, think again.




80 playmaker doing that over a 95 6'8 lockdown defender. I have a shot creator that can't even hit shots like that and the shot activated my badge just for laughs. 2k constantly rewards bad offense over good defense, it makes no sense to me.

So Xbox1 users gonna have to wait until mid November to play with updated rosters? I promise I will not buy this game again day 1. I love 2k but this is ridiculous.

If you read that thread it says that we expect things to happen. But not at that high of a clip . I never said it shouldn't happen. I never said it doesn't happen. But you're completely ignoring the high rate at which they fall .
You said play defense. So I presented a clip of good defense .


Thing is it goes in at a high clip . So let me ask you this
Is it ok for Reboundibg centers to be able to hit threes consistently with a 35 3 point rating ? Yes if he has a 35 3 point rating he should be shooting 25% .

Beluba has even said shooting is too high . An update is coming to lower shooting . Are you ignoring that too ?

guys makes shots yes. the point we are making is that as someone with a LDD as well, too many BAD shots are rewarded.

this also goes 2 ways.

my shots period ( the corner 3 more than anything) go in way too much. my LDD is a sharpshooter from that spot with a 68 rated 3. I grinded him to get those shot creator badges and he has been absolutely ruthless on offense to the point where the other team was just getting livid

Damn man. Patches are suppose to fix the game not break it. Hopefully they learn from this year and release next year's game later rather than sooner.

The things they don't speak on is the most troubling part of this patch process.

They don't utter a word about Defense or A.C.E. and both of these things are Broken. All they talk about is, "improve gameplay" a very generic statement. If those things aren't addressed specifically and they are very noticeable issues after 5 patches what's the point.

Defense, and double team logic (cant speak for the rest of A.C.E) have been confirmed to have been addressed in patch 1.05 in a thread just like this one.

As observant as guys are here, I'm shocked at how often this stuff is missed.

That was me and I've had a lot of people hit shots on my lockdown defender that actually activated my HOF defensive stopper badge and said good shot defense, bad shots like the one I posted. The player that made that shot was a 6'5 playmaker with short arms over a 6'8 lockdown defender with max wingspan. That was shot clock cheese, a fadeaway 21 foot shot without a live dribble and a hand in their face? Come on. It's not 25%, it's a lot closer to 50-50 on bad shots vs my HOF badge.

I don't expect to stop everything, but there have been too many times where I'm playing with my teammates and someone puts up a terrible shot with me draped all over them and everyone goes "WHAATTTTTTTTT" when it goes in.

You jumped to the assumption that I cannot play defense. I was simply asking the guy what kind of shots he is getting, because I have seen from many people "How is this not going in" while they are taking an absolutely terrible shot. He said he is playing on All-Star and can't shoot above 40%. I didn't want to judge him immediately, but my first thought is "The player is the problem if they can't shoot over 40% on All-Star" which is why I was curious as to what sort of shot he is getting.

If somebody is going to come in and say "Shooting has been nerfed" I damn well want to see why they think shooting has been nerfed, because if you're going to try and be a voice for change, then I need to see if your point has any validity or if you need to be enlightened on what a good shot is.

We were talking about releasing patch notes, and being more specific. Making a forum post about what's being addressed may or may not make it in the "patch notes" or even in the patch.

People think lockdown defender is a automatic license to make people miss. Someone shooting a contested animation in my face might shoot 5-10% doing it. If you dont block a shot then theres a chance of the ball going in the hoop. Hell, Devin Harris hit a contested 3 from 74 feet off balance to win a game, I'm guessing people would be complaining like hell if that happened in 2k.

I'm sorry but in his post he clearly says he doesn't think that . I said it . You're hearing this straight from the LDDs themselves. Beluba has tweeted that shooting percentage is too high. What more needs to be said.
