    They are helpful with a spread floor for creating open looks off the dribble, even if there's not always a lane to get to the hoop.

    They're also handy when you're bumped inside the perimeter and have to pick up your dribble. Initiating a handoff bailout can frequently create some teammate movement around the ball so that once you hand the ball off there's a fair chance of an open shot one pass away.
    Dribble hand-offs are definitely under-utilized. Out of many games online since they were implemented I don't think I've seen a single one run by another user.

      That's a shame. You can basically run dribble weaves manually. Bend the defense one way, and you dont need dribble moves to get to the rim.

      You can run pinch post out of the 2 man action freestyle and use multiple handoffs.

        Yes, you can do many things with the hand-offs. Truly "freestyle" the offense more with that option. Great against other users as well. It's one of those things to keep in the bag of tricks.

        The "lead pass cut" button is great, too.
