5 patches in and the hope for huge gameplay has falling flat on its face. There will never be a huge gameplay improvements in a Patch. Huge gameplay improvements is called the cycle between releases. What you will get in a patch from the dev is "please god lets hope this band aid fixes this" You have witnessed this process for 5 patches now and all of a sudden you think patch # 6 is the holy grail? LMAO.

Things that will not be fixed.

Adaptive Coaching Engine(Menus sticking and playing the right Defense)
FastBreaks, and those bump animations to make sure you will not have a fastbreak.
Marginal 3 point shooters running to the corners or pulling up from 25 on a fastbreak for 3.

What will be fixed as far as gameplay

Oh the general statement of "gameplay fixes" which will be left up to you to figure out, followed by the Placebo effect and reassurances of others who believe the same.

I hope the body type fix is included. The skinny body type really looks terrible.

Body types are not going to get fixed. They're not taking out and replacing an entire body scan for god knows how many players in one patch. It was never going to happen and I'm not sure where this idea that they would fix them in a patch came from.

I am with you in thinking it will not get done for 2K17, as it is not as simple as people seem to believe, nothing is really, period ... having said that, they dont have to redo body scans at all, they just have to enable the ability of switching body types for users, on a player to player base ... hopefully this gets in within the 2K18 brainstorm ideas of things to implement, even more, I hope it gets implemented.

It wouldnt solve all but surely most of the issues people have, adding a couple of extra body types to choose from would also be appreciated.

i really don't care about anything else. i just want the entire "current" nba player face scan and hair is updated and i'm good so i can finally start with my league. have this game for a month and still not playin with my league bcoz of the outdated players.

I'd love to buy the game but from the impressions I gather it just isn't worth it.

I'd love to buy the game but from the impressions I gather it just isn't worth it.

Being honest, impressions ain't the way to go to determine if you should buy it or not, as they are mostly on both extremes ... also, nothing beats the in your hands test.

I would suggest you to rent/borrow it.

IMHPO, I think this games is a good base for the franchise, leaving aside the obvious address of bugs, it just need some further polish/attention of things on both sides of the court, but more on the D side of things, on the off court AI Logic and the customization/editability end.

I only started playing the game when I got the PS4 Pro, but after 1 game I realised it wasn't worth playing without passing icons and that I'd just wait. I got sick of waiting (as its been a week now) and tried again last night. I really can't get into playing without them, I hope this patch arrives soon.

As a longtime 2k player I would say it depends on what game modes you play. I play Off Line and love the game. Most of the complaints come from gamers who use 2k Rosters. As far as customization this game is the deepest in years.

I got sick of waiting (as its been a week now) and tried again last night. I really can't get into playing without them, I hope this patch arrives soon.

I upgraded to the pro but also hate the absence of passing icons. I haven't been able to play in over a week now.

IMO they should offer us pro users some sort of compensation like coins, packs, etc.


They should have released a quick fix instead of leaving us to wait until whenever to have it corrected.

There's millions of us that would like some compensation for paying $60 or more for a broken game that we then have had to beta test until 2k gets it fixed.

So this is a legit new patch? Like the earlier posts, I had assumed it was a patch to make the game "compatible" with the new announcements.
