IMO there was much better control when the game released even with the other major issues present. The first patch was a massive bait-and-switch back to the no control feeling of 2k16.

Earlier in the year when the 98 OVR glitch was discovered Mike Wang said that the glitchers didnt have an advantage and wouldnt be punished. Recently they started resetting the glitchers to the rating they should have had. If Wang said they didnt have an advantage why would they reset them?

Mike Wang literally responded in that thread that he misunderstood the original question.

I'll try this again, since every thread that I create in criticism of NBA 2k and 2kSports gets closed..

If your thread is essentially about
listing the reasons you dont like NBA 2K17 like your last....they will continue to be closed. Its nothing personal, theres just an impressions thread for that- and that goes for positive and negative threads. I personally think this is a great write up though...has some content behind it.

I think what bothers me most is the 'rewriting of the transition game'. What was mainly an issue on defense last year has showed up on both sides of the ball. I'm a bit worried if they can deliver in fure installments if this was the rewrite. Cant say I feel they delivered there at all.

I must have missed the swim move controls, but I will recheck. They are much needed!

The pull the chair explanation doesn't really make sense and I have never seen it pulled off.
You don't pull the chair when someone is backing you down without the ball. I've never seen it done that way in real basketball.
You pull the chair when the opponent is aggressively backing you down WITH the ball. And then they either lose the ball or are called for travel.
It's basically the only defense for an overly aggressive strong big man.

Im not sure who told you to pull the chair without the ball when the in game tutorial doesn't say that at all.

My apologies, I haven't read the 2ku controls for months, but here is something I was able to find here on OS.

Pull Chair in Post: Flick Right Stick in same direction as offensive player (when posted off-ball)

That is how I remember reading it, but do to Christmas, I haven't been able to check in game.

The point is, I cannot preform the move as described nor have I ever seen it preformed.
I have tested it both in mycourt and in Pro am.

So, unless I don't understand what off ball means, 2k thinks pulling the chair is a move that you preform on a player without the ball.

I was expecting a game that improved on the tons of defensive problems that 2K16 created. Players not getting back in transition, not defending fastbreaks properly, not deflecting bad passes in the paint, defenders not picking up their man after the ball is inbounded, bad pick and roll defense etc.

What I got instead was a game that was even worse on the defensive end. Sometimes when I play this game I feel as if I got scammed by 2K. If I could go back in time I would save my 60 dollars and stick with 2K16 until I found a way to buy the game used for less than 30 dollars.

I'm about 90% sure I've seen this done on ball as well. Unfortunately, 2k tends to leave a lot of post controls out of the manual...I say this every year.

The post game is one thing on your list I definitely disagree about. I'm a big post guy. It definitely feels a lot better to me. Only issue I had was when you originally couldnt ise the stick in any direction to get a decent release.

Biggest disappointment to me was the advertised "unique crowd experiences" for each arena, which obviously didn't happen.

Blatant false advertising. Same as last year with "Be the Story"
