Hate to say it, but this is just incorrect. You have an option in the matchmaking menu to choose to match up with all tiers, yet when we choose it it does NOT work and only searches your same tier.

The option literally does nothing, and this is what we are all complaining about.

The original complaint I was responding to did not mention that. So my response was mean to cover the general issue folks were having and explain how the design works against what you actually probably are wanting to have happen.

You guys are thinking that option is supposed to do something other than what it actually does.

It doesn't mean it excludes your current tier it just means you CAN match with any tier but to other users who are searching for games YOU are still in their tier. So you still are likely to match with someone in your tier it just means more people are eligible outside of your tier to possible match with you.

This all depends on the pool of available players.

That seems much much MUCH better than having so many mirror games.

As a community you guys should start a thread and hash this out and boil it down to exactly what you want to see. Then lobby for that specifically.

Was tiers what you really wanted ? Was it better without tiers ? etc etc. IMHO of course.

Well if what you’re suggesting is correct and 9 out of 10 you’re right most of the time there should be an algorithm in place were if you pick a team within a tier you shouldn’t be able to play against that same team. Thus helping out the masses of mirror matches.

Also the custom search only gives two options to play within the Tier you desire or play the default. I think what Mintsa put above is a good idea. Having a selection of if you want to play a Tier 2, 4 or 5 does give the user options but might have a longer wait time.

Is there any way we can have the regular old online ranked matches back? Just scrap this entire Play Now Online mode, please.

If not, just give us the option to back out of matches! That would solve all of this.

You just need to make your lg sliders custom with identical sliders to the hof sliders and it will stay. So go to the sliders. Click HOF and then move 1 slider 1 number over and then move that same slider back to its original number and save. Th sliders will say custom but it will be the exact same as HOF. I had the same problem as you did before this.

I tried this the other nite. It didn't take. Also tried in a dummy lg i created. It stayed on HOF for a day. Went back following day it went back. Ill try again. Thanks Fam

The foundation of the 2K series were all of the incredible features, customization, and presentations that no other game could match. We saw this with the NFL 2K series as well. I feel like since the switch to next gen, 2K has completely sold out of its original identity. Mycareer has been turned into a money grab machine. The quality of this mode dissipates incredibly after the first season. Generated rookies still look like Neanderthals with dumb accessories. Mycareer seems to be all about getting your player ready to go to the park. I believe this is a huge reason stat caps and dreadful archetypes were implemented. I do believe the overall gameplay continues to improve, however, what keeps us coming back for more is the substance. 2K becomes so redundant. Everything is predictable. And the theatrics of mycareer are almost cringe worthy. I don't think we want to be a character in a short film. I personally would like a dynamic story line that can change based on the way you play, act towards the media, and decisions off the court. I lose immersion quickly with this game. Even small things like having one body type for every created player shows a lack of attention to detail.

Did they fix the glitch with ANY player being able to DUNK on anyone? I see shapshooters and playmakers dunking like slashers!

The animation swap glitch was fixed, but any MyPlayers who did that glitch still have those animations equipped and can still use them.

Just another instance of 2K continuing their long history of failing to police their games effectively and punish cheaters properly.

People have become so unafraid of the 2K Police Department that they'll willingly post videos of their glitched characters onto a public website for the entire world to see:

For a game whose storyline revolves around a character called Justice, there has been an astounding lack of justice in how 2K has handled cheaters this year.
