If they want cheese They can pick up NBA Playgrounds when it drops. I payed $80 CAD for what was advertised as a sim basketball game, let me play something realistic thanks.

I agree with this 100 percent. This game even with it's current flaws is really fun when you can find an opponent that won't exploit every ai flaw. Good smart basketball and open shots should always beat constant turbo and spamming steal. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Even if you do beat the cheesers its an awful experience. Hopefully this patch will address some of those issues.

There are so many different camps in terms of what people want regarding gameplay, that it's going to produce the entire spectrum of opinions about it's quality.

You have people who have spent months crafting a playstyle that is based off of exploiting flaws in the gameplay mechanics, they're probably going to completely flip out if a lot of those exploits are finally fixed.

Which is funny because other games that have build breaking patches usually offer skill point refunds.. In Path of Exile for example, if they have a patch that heavily nerfs a certain skill, they will refund all of your spent skill points to give you a chance to fix it.. No chance of that ever happening on this game..

Please, Please, Please, Please, fix the on the fly ACE Menu. This will go along way in knowing what type of defense I'm in so I don't mess up the rotations which makes the CPU help when it should not or rotate to a sport it should not be in because I don't know what defense I'm in at the moment.

You will never get basketball simulation because this is not reality, it is a game. 2K has always been a game with major flaws and it is going to be like this forever. It is just the way they do things.

They could definetly try and do a better job than they did this year. It's almost as if they completely forgot to make the game 6 weeks before launch and had to quickly string together a game to throw out at us.

i don't get it - it's been merely a week since it was announced that 2k is reviewing gameplay problems and yet the patch is done, and has already arrived. something's fishy gais.

I mean I'm sure they have had plenty of info over the year it's not unfathomable to consider they had been working on this patch before they announced it on twitter

Hopefully sometimes soon. Also, I'm hoping they put at the FULL notes this time too. Not this bull**** that they've been giving us lately. A 7 gigabyte patch with only 3-5 notes?! You've gotta be kidding me. There's definetly something they haven't been telling us but i'm hoping they tell us everything this time

This pretty much sums it up. Depending on the individuals' perspective on basketball, opinions of the game will many and varied. For example, I mainly watched and played basketball during the 90's and early 2000, so to me I think the defense is not as effective as it should be when a gamer has a high defensive IQ.

However, if you've been watching the current NBA, you might think the offense is not as effective if you're unable 25+ 3's a game. The game, out of the box, CAN'T appease everyone without tinkering with the sliders. As long as the game is fundamentally sound from a gameplay and animation standpoint, I've been mostly satisfied.

My Pro Am team has been playing actual basketball and we all seem to be lactose intolerant so we use no cheese. If the patch is righteous then we will just be that much better. However, I have a feeling I will be finishing FF15 and Uncharted instead.

My ProAm squad also plays actual basketball. All our loses are to teams who cheese all game. Would be nice if ProAm didn't feel as arcady as Park does

I only ask for two things:

1. Fix the Paul George loading screen. And not like you "fixed" the logos loading screen, by just moving the excrutiating load time to another screen.

2. Make it so that I can actually see all the players in My Park. It is getting worse and worse with the amount of invisible players to the point where I can't even play anymore.
