Just please stop complaining about shooting because it's great the way it is (even tho sharpshooters make an unbelievable amount of deep range shots) but I'm a playmaker and I'm hitting my open shots at a good clip...if you can't hit your shots then change your jump shot or make one...from what I'm seeing SS are OP right but hey it's whatever...if something should be patched its defense and screen setting..defense is too slow and sluggish and screens are just, well you all should know by now if you play park

Other sharpshooters see a dip on their 3pt fg % on walkon? I've been shooting bad as of late. I went from a 56% to shooting 51% since the latest tweak. Tried switching jumpshots and even custom and I've been bricking on hot spots wide open consistently on pro-am.

From my experience, 55-60 3pt people got hit the hardest. This thread kinda summed it up:
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-any-tips.html
IMO, Shot Creators were hit unfairly hard, because they simply have too many factors working against them as the game got patched and tweaked. It got to a point that I literally snapped my disc, and refuse to play another second of 2k17, and here's why:
1.) Moving 3s were adjusted early in the year (guess they felt Shot Creators while moving were unfairly hitting at about the same clip as stand-still Sharpshooters. Lord forbid 94 moving 3 can hit as much as 94 standing 3.) Moving midranges were still money.
2.) The patch that affected shot percentages the more you moved around with the left stick. (They said Shot Creators wouldn't be affected as much. Yeah, I call BS on that, because of the next reason)
3.) When shooting began to get tweaked heavily in the most recent tweaks, moving shot sliders were either left alone, or scaled back at the same percent as standing shots.
With those three things working against the Shot Creator, as opposed to only two things affecting every other archetype, it hit them especially hard. It literally got to a point (And Rockie can attest to me raging about it, and showing proof of it game after game) that I was hitting at a much more consistent rate on standing shots vs moving shots. And I'm simply talking white bar release vs white bar release. It was sickening.Comment

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
My only complaint with the shooting tweaks is that it is very difficult to even hit "lightly" contested shots on HOF real rosters. If a player is anywhere near you now its almost impossible to knock down a jumper.Psn: Alabamarob

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
Im having the same issue. When I use my stretch at the park, usually shoot 100% every game, basically getting green lights from half court with my eyes closed (not bragging, but they just made it so easy), but when I go play walk on, I cant hit anything, cant get a green to save my life, so I just cant use him anymore in there, just way to embarrassing missing wide open after wide openComment

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
For the builds experiencing the extremely difficult shooting challenges in ProAm and WalkOn: try lowering your free throw difficulty slider in the main menu of the 2k welcome screen.
The free throw difficulty slider is part of the difficulty settings and it relates to how your shot meter behaves.
I don't know how it happened or what caused it but the last shooting change makes the meter move less fluidly in the ProAm based modes. Fluid is not the best description but it's not as smooth as it is in Park, simply put.
The Park is naturally more responsive but ultimately more friendly. It would be ideal to have the same responsiveness but keep the difficulties separated. I shoot confidently with a crisp meter regardless of build but the times my meter is choked: I really lose my bearing for sensing the right timing.
Spoiler
This choked meter is what hurts my chances greatly.
I won't get into comparing stats but I experimented the other night with my glass cleaner who has no badges and no hot zones, just a barbones 80 something overall with 55/58 on 3pt. This build was splashing corner 3s at a respectable clip to the point I was confident I could make pull up 3s in transition lol. My match up was jumping to close out on me.
I'm not sure your struggles are pinned to the choked meter but it's worth a shot tweaking the free throw difficulty Slider and see how your Pro Am meter responds to that. It will possibly have adverse affects in Park where the meter already moves at a crisp rate and is much more responsive to timing a clean release. This could lead to you over shooting the mark and getting bounce back meters.
Spoiler
The meter is definitely more difficult to time greens in pro Am: that is inherent with the difficulty tweaks made to shooting. The challenges can be beat and white meters are friendly in my experiences as Mike Wang (Beluba) has occasionally alluded to. It does seem like some jumpers are affected more so than others especially some custom jumpers that use popular bases. I notice my non shooting builds that use a generic #jumper are unaffected by a choked meter.
My custom jumpers that use OG bases like base 49 and 22 and 65 are the ones that suffer from choked meters and sporadic spikes in the meter where things are OK and then some random shot later the meter glitches.
Try not to take it personally like you're a pitiful shooter. There are definitely underlying challenges that were presented from the shooting tweak that are related to systems and gameplay mechanics and not squarely on user error.
At this time, I have adjusted to the wonkiness and keep the free throw difficulty on 50 which is the default. I have gotten accustom to what my highest chances are for a green considering all perfect conditions are met lol so it's to the point I'm more concerned about teaching the end of my meter smoothly than I am with getting a guaranteed make outcome.

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
That's why different physical attributes(balance, jumping, vingspan, core strength) fatigue and along with mental attributes and such have to blend in shooting all over so that much smoother outcomes other than repetetitive ones can be seen.Comment

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
Just about finished with a 29 game MLO season on hof sim with 30 users. Post update the bricks were insane.. Especially for slightly contested or semi contested shots. So I raised the MLO shooting sliders from 37 for both 3 and mid to 40. I was very satisfied with the results over the large sample size. No one shot above 50% and the lowest was 35 %. The top 10 and bottom 10 as far as team fg%. I will take these stats over the pre tuning arcade splash fest forced Mikes hand to begin with lol.

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
I have to admit i was wrong. 9 out of 10 games i am shooting 20 percent from 3 with 80 plus shooters. I cant even run an offense anymore. The default HOF sliders wont work at this shooting clip. It has me resorting to unsavoury tactics to score. I have become food in my MLO.2k18 fixes
Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

Find the right jump shot combinations and proper floor spacing with teammates that give timely passes and you should be hitting non stop greens.Comment

Re: Mike Wang 4-28-17 Shooting Changes.
I like the shooting as well in our HOF MLO atm.
I've had like 14 games in and i felt all shots outcome varied in good ways and done good when i do good stuff and bad when i do bad so besides online connection quality (which affects a lot of shooting) all seem good to me atm.Comment
