I wasn't being entirely serious dude, as there is no way 2k could do this anyway. Smoove isn't a park player, I've never really watched any IKC, but shakedown, although good for the community has become more of a cheeser over time. I used to be a subscriber and for 2k15 he released a vid saying why he refused to do the behind the back and cheese dribble moves, then by 2k16 he was speedboosting and hopstep cheesing with the rest of them so... I don't watch his vids anymore but he always seemed like a good guy and was always interested in making the game better, whereas other park cheesers just want the game to get cheesier.
How can 2k encourage players to play as a team in MyPark and MyGm?

Like when guy sget screened then try to turbo all the way across the court when they should just switch or guys that switch without telling you, then you hedge and your man gets left wide open lol
Now its your fault for giving up pointsComment

I do agree Youtube is hurting gaming. Alot of this stuff only gets so popular because of ppl on Youtube teaching you how to cheese.
But then again if 2k really really had something against the cheese moves they would include a patch that makes you lose the ball or miss every time you do one.Comment

Have players lose a significant amount of VC for things like poor spacing, ball hogging, bad shot selection, and reward a good amount of VC for getting assist, setting screens, help defense etc. You have to hit them where it hurts. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Re: How can 2k encourage players to play as a team in MyPark and MyGm?
I think the biggest problem is that the current teammate grading system is so incredibly bad that nobody really cares about what it says anymoreComment

Re: How can 2k encourage players to play as a team in MyPark and MyGm?
If you set trash useless screens just to get your grade up then they should kill your teammate grade.
Also good ball movement should be a bigger boost. Right now the big boosts are on causing turnovers, steals/blocks, getting assists and scoring. So they've conditioning a whole generation of 2k players to play like those are the only things that matter.Comment

Re: How can 2k encourage players to play as a team in MyPark and MyGm?
I do see that 2k gave out better rep at the end of games to people with higher grades so ppl on the same winning team could get different rep amounts but the system itself is so trash and flawed. Also a good percentage of players that are ruining the game just flat out don't give a damn about their teammate grade.
I think in other games if you play STUPID and blatantly trash you are punished. 2k is a weird game because it is entirely TEAM orientated. There really aren't many games where you can consistently lose because of ONE GUYS actions.Comment

Re: How can 2k encourage players to play as a team in MyPark and MyGm?
This would be a disaster. So if I paid for VC , then 2k took it away because I took a supposed bad shot or had bad spacing, how do you think this would go over with players? This is absolutely terrible idea. No offense, but we have to think these things throughComment

Re: How can 2k encourage players to play as a team in MyPark and MyGm?
Another idea I've posted before but I'll say it again:
Get rid of the grade system altogether. It's archaic. Every game has an ELO skill point system, switch to that.
A player can finish with an A+ despite being a detriment, and often an A+ grade can't describe how good someone actually played. Having a large digit skill point number scale will solve thatComment

I can't tell you how many Walk-On games I have played where the C gave up on trying to defend the other team's C, but somehow still pulls an A+ at the end of the game despite giving up 30+ points because he never even bothered to run to the paint and play defense.
meanwhile someone else is getting "defensive breakdown" like crazy because the computer expects them to pick up the opposing Center.Comment

I'm not sure I entirely agree with your idea here, but I do think you've illustrated the problem quite effectively.

I mean, the current system most likely operates under game actions being given a scaling numberical value. No need to give us the arbitrary grade assignment, at least let us see the numbers.
Then they might be compelled to put more weight behind grading/rating actions, because no one's ego is getting shattered anymore when seeing a bad grade lol.
I think that^ might be the biggest issue behind the grade system. An F grade gets someone kicked, so they might not want to knock people down as much for playing poorly.Comment
