It’s a shame it might take Joe Johnson getting signed to get him back in the game. They getting bailed out all the time. Only reason we got back Josh Smith, Kendrick Perkins, and Emeka Okafor the last couple years was because they randomly got signed again. And now this year, they are out of the game again.

I could've sworn Kenny Walker was in past games.

I dont know if this has been touched on. Can someone please fix the length of 90s players shorts? They are too long. Also will they ever fix Michael Jordans shoes. The colors are always off.

why is it a shame? 2K doesn't pursue players for individual rights until they've officially retired. Otherwise, they come back, re-up with the player's union for another season, and now 2K is paying them twice for the same thing.

Not for specifically for Joe Johnson, but with every player that leaves the league. They knew for a FACT that David West and Ginóbili were done for good (among several others over the years), yet they just let them disappear from the game. The last player I remember them making sure to keep was like Paul Pierce (I guess Varejao and Barbosa this past year).

Now that I read that over, that’s is a lot. More players and arenas atmosphere are key for me.

Love to have Chris Morris, Sam Bowie, Mark West, Dale Davis, & Harold Minor. I’m nitpicking though. The roster is pretty solid.

Agree. To be honest, arena atmosphere became very important when you play a lot in MyLeague. When you play same teams year after year, you need différence between arenas. And there is no differences in Classic Arenas. I Hope they change that. Its a pain to switch Classic teams into current teams just to have real arena sounds.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: give us the rebranding abilities from MyLeague in edit roster. Let us design courts and jerseys and logos outside of MyLeague. We could create our own classic teams that way

That said, just stepping back and watching the game play out, I can't help but think of how we're one day going to look back on this gameplay and be like, "Wow, how'd we ever accept games that looked like this?" I mean, the graphics themselves are pretty (though future us will all have a good laugh at A.C. Green's haircut) but I'll be darned if a lot of the animations and transitions don't look clunky and unnatural.

                    1. A lot of the footwork looks like the same old 2K slide stuff. Again, I've learned to live with it and accept it, but it seems that multiple commands in a short period of time results in odd foot movements and frequent travels. Even the cool looking animations like Magic's dropstep at 5:24 often have wonky things happening like his left foot planting then magically re-planting two feet closer a second later (travel and warp).

                    2. Layups seem to initiate and release too far away from the hoop on so many occasions. That Magic move at 5:24 is another solid example. Dude spins and loses Brian Shaw and ends up wide open right at the rim and somehow the game decides that a lefty layup away from the hoop and toward Shaw is the correct option.

Another example comes at 1:50 when Magic gets the step and a layup animation is triggered. You'd expect a gather step of some kind but instead what we get is a right-footed, right-handed immediate layup attempt from 10 feet out. Just looks odd.

That same issue is a large part of what's always made playing as Shaquille O'Neal feel so weird. In 2K you'll work to get these pretty clean O'Neal looks that'd either be dunks or at least finishes right at the backboard and/or rim but in 2K they end up as these weird, finessed, jump-in-place layups from a distance.

                    3. 2K's in-game replays have been kind of wack for the past few years. Seems like the most replayed event all game are shooting fouls where the offensive player misses the shot. Not that it's a huge deal, but I'm kind of surprised we're not at a point where awesome plays aren't replayed during a dead ball moments later like a real TV broadcast.

Specifically regarding the classics, I'm wondering if that little half-hunch you see as Magic Johnson dribbles up the floor is a part of his specific dribbling package. Seems unique to him (example at 56 seconds).

Also, it'd be nice one day to have legends accessory colors be a little more accurate out of the box. It'd at least be nice to know that all proper colors are at our disposal. One of my first thoughts seeing the '87 Lakers was, "Man, I hope blue is one of their accessory options this year". Always seems like a toss up.

Well watching the Lakers video, it’s clear that the tendencies will need serious editing again. That’s what I hate about this game. The classic teams feel so unfinished. The gameplay is there but the tendencies are all wrong.

Kendrick Perkins is on the MyNBA 2K mobile game but not on the 08 Celtics or 12 Thunder

I wanted to write this in this thread, but I figured it was too long. Here are some classic teams that 2k has the players to add into the game: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...post2049890108

Dang, I've been sitting here talking about how the 2002 Wizards had a bunch of randoms that'd make them tough to include but didn't even consider the 2003 team. I gotta make that club this year, especially with having a court from that general color scheme era (though the '07 court is different from '03).
