It seems like im going to have to say this a million times for 2k to finally hear my point smh. Robert Horry had a box cut hairstyle on those rockets teams. But I see you can add headbands to legends now. Go to 9:44 of this video.

A few really good upgrades. Drazen Petrovic looks spot on I think. What I am surprised with is the PS3 faces for guys like Terry Porter, Kenny Smith, & Vlade Divac. Those are going to be eyesores. Hopefully they get updated at some point.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
The biggest difference is lighting, which is why it overall seems like a bigger improvement than it actually is. I'd even say some players look worse. I don't know what is up with Divac and especially Kenny Smith since they scanned him for half-time reports and all! Same for Cassell & Steve Kerr, especially the latter. I think it's funny because I dislike him, but that younger model is like a deliberate screw up job, even if Kerr used to look hideous.
With regards to Horry, with some players they are a lot more diligent than others. They usually take how a player looks the last time he played in the league or now. Players who've gone bald are usually bald for example. It's minor, but it's annoying.Last edited by OTMax; 11-11-2020, 11:12 AM.Comment

Seems like hair and eyes got a big improvement in general, more skin texture, but it's not a massive jump by any means. Just some players they touched up, like they've done in recent years. A lot of them still look very odd, I cannot even tell who some of those players are.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Well I don't know what to tell you about that one. 2k being 2k I guess. I mean any NBA person could do a search and see what a player looked like that particular year. Since the haircut is in the game it should actually be a question of taking a minute to just put another one on Robert. Problem is, 2k won't do it and won't allow us to edit classic players.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Some of the same things we've been discussing for years are still apparent (Kenny Smith might still have his 2K11 face, some "young" legends look like the retired versions of themselves) but honestly, at least next-gen classics can start with a great base as opposed to having to spend years just trying to recover back toward neutral territory.
Moreover, Ant mentioned in another thread that some more role players may have been added.
Classic rosters have been filled out a little more which is really nice to see. Some of these were probably already there but I can't remember.
Fred Hetzel added to the 71 Lakers
Kevin Grevey added to the 85 Bucks
Wes Matthews 87 Lakers
John Long 89 Pistons
Winston Bennett 90 Cavs
Dennis Hopson 91 Bulls
Wayne Cooper 91 Trailblazers
Jim Peterson 91 Warriors
Darrell Walker 93 Bulls
Ed Nealy 93 Bulls
Earl Cureton 94 Rockets
Isaac Austin 97 Heat
Scottie Burrell 98 Bulls
Chris Morris 98 Jazz
Jacque Vaughn 98 Jazz
Stacy Augmon 00 Trailblazers
Devean George 01 and 04 Lakers
Casey Jacobsen 03 Suns
Brian Cook 04 Lakers
Beno Udrih 05 Spurs
Dahntay Jones 06 Grizzlies
David Wesley 07 Cavs
Monta Ellis 07 Warriors
Rafer Alston 08 Rockets
Luther Head 08 Rockets
Mario Chalmers 13 Heat
David West 14 Pacers
Roy Hibbert 14 Pacers
Leandro Barbosa 16 WarriorsLast edited by VDusen04; 11-11-2020, 05:38 PM.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
After the last gen system transfer debacle, I consider this a win. I don't think I saw a lot of improvements beyond Kobe Bryant and Drazen Petrovic but it's good to see most of the classic art carried over and didn't degrade like it did from 2K13 to 2K14.

At 4:47 in the video he goes through legend teams. If you slow the video down to .25, you can see the cyber faces of the legend players.Comment
