Didn’t get the game this year. How good is the Jason Kidd update?

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
If you go to edit Hill and then export DNA... Then go back into edit Hill and import his DNA you just saved. All the shoes shoes should br available then. If not try going into player DNA select NBA and edit his DNA there and again all shoes should be unlocked. This works for every player in the game so if you have a player who can only wear a single brand this will work.Comment

Seems like we ain't never going to be able to play as Charles Barkley or Reggie Miller in NBA 2kComment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Rasheed either the last month or so has outright said he's not allowing his likeness unless 2k cuts him a check. I'm sure those two are the same, though i think Barkley has said other reasons why in the past.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
it's sad cause as an Indiana native Reggie is iconic and having an "All Time" Pacers team without him on there is just plain wrong.
Charles and Rasheed would also be fun to play as, so would Tayshaun, not sure his reasoning for not being in the game but him and Sheed are sorely missed on the 03-04 PistonsComment

On the flip side, I'm not sure I've ever seen someone who could create an authentic-looking Tayshaun Prince and Pistons-era Mehmet Okur, so those absences hurt me more.Comment

I understand this absence will always be painful for online gamers but for us offline folks, people have done such an amazing job of sculpting created Barkleys that I pretty much consider him in the game at this point.

There are some decent ones out there this year for Prince and Okur…but yeah some years the presets really screw us on Prince. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an Okur that was spot on, but I’ve seen ones that were very serviceable this year.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Not putting Reggie and Chuck and even Sheed really puts a damper on the 90’s era. Those are 2 top tier guys of that era and 1 growing into high tier status. Chuck was an MVP and finals participant ffs. Reggie made finals in 00. Sheed was an all star in 99-00. Think about how much better that era can be marketed with those guys. For one Chuck and Reggie would make it to the eras artwork when you select the 90’s.
But I agree Chuck created players have always been so good it does feel like he’s in the game. Reggie to some degree as well.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Problem is if you pay Reggie and Sheed more to get them in game, then other players will start wanting more as well. It'd be a slippery slope.
Chuck on the other hand seems like something that could be resolved, but for whatever reason 2k doesn't want to do so. From what I've read, his demands seem pretty fair for a company that makes squillions from using player likeness, particularly past players.Comment

I'm definitely a glass-half-full guy when it comes to this subject. The way I figure, it's completely insane to me that we have access to the stars, legends, role-players, and 12th men that we do. As a Pistons fan, do I wish we had Sheed, Tay, and Memo? Yup. But it's also amazing that we've got Isiah, Joe, Mark, Buddha, multiple Rodmans, a Laimbeer with custom freakouts, Ben, Chauncey, Rip, Corliss, Elden, Tripucka, Lanier, Bing, and even Darko.
I never would have imagined it was possible, but here we are. In my opinion, classic players and teams have been one of 2K's greatest and most novel accomplishments. So I can handle a couple absences. I personally think some people fixate on Chuck and Reggie so much because 2K's done such an amazing job of landing just about everyone else.Comment

100 percent agree.

Also, Yes having them missing is annoying, because with them included we can have an added attention to alot of other things.. but its wonderful to also see and be reminded that we are given SOOO MUCH EXTRA that people cant imagine. Im old, I remember when they were on 2K as players and I played with them as themselves.. didnt move the needle for me so much personally but I am able t oadd them all in created players plus with the great creators out there, their faces look very close to the real thing.
Being able to work tirelessly to get legends and even grab players like Rusty LaRue from my Bulls? Yup, Im cool.
I wont get into the whole argument of why they wont do what Chuck wants them to do. Unless I understand their books, their previous convos with him and offers, its above me to criticize what a company should do when I dont even own one myself, let alone a video gaming giant.Comment
