Damnit i wish they would just trash this whole "Neighborhood/Park" mode, its taking way to much of they're brain power to make it each year, and the dev's are using 1/4 of they're brain power for everything else.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Despite a lot of the negatives, there are some positives we can take from this game so far:
-we can edit ages of historic players again
-we now have access to the players that used to only be in MyTeam
-new legends were added
-new teams added
I'm not defending 2k's mistakes, but I'm defending my sanity hahaComment

Separately, here's a few more random additions I really like about the game:
1) The 1989 Pistons road jerseys are fixed and they look pretty beautiful. I honestly can't believe they've been addressed.
2) This year 2K allows retro teams to pick from any of their franchise's available jerseys. The thing is, if you select a jersey for a short-shorts era team that's not one of their defaults, then the team will wear long shorts.
For example, the 1989 Pistons have access to their default 1989 jerseys and those come with short shorts. However, they also have access to the current Pistons' 1989 throwbacks, which come with long shorts and are actually slightly less accurate than default '89 jerseys (lettering is off a little, color is lighter). Picture to clarify what I'm talking about (both teams are technically wearing Bad Boys-era throwback):
For comparison, here's how those '89 jerseys looked last year:
For modern classic teams, this could mean the ability to tweak years a little bit. For instance, if one chose, those 2002 Nets could become the 2007 squad pretty quickly. Though, it'd be nice if 2K went ahead and took the beard off the All-Time Vince Carters.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
I'm not ready to call it just yet. If MJWizards was on the mark, there are 194 players from the 1997 season already included in the game. And there's over 150 players included for just about every season from 1990-1996. That's kind of nuts, and a great base for a lot of options. Of course, I say that while acknowledging the setbacks (create-a-player, the short shorts situation, etc). I guess that means they really won't be proper, but there's still room for some great stuff, in my opinion.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
2K really needs to focus on the art next year. They should farm out legends to the PC modders.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Did they remove the "chunky" body type? Also, I thought we were supposed to be able to edit body types?

I'm genuinely happy for you guys that are finding glimmers of hope, I hope you enjoy the game, sincerely.
I think it's evident now, for me, that outside of the honourable mention of the obvious (2k11 & 12) 2k16 is my GOAT - I put it back in my PS4 last night and went from frowning & frustrated to being as happy as a kid in a sweet shop. I played as much 2k18 as I could yesterday and I just couldn't get on board with it. To many negatives for me, personally.-----------------------------------------

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Michael Jordan used to love running on a break, then using the big man close to him as a screen, shooting a wide open jumper before the defense even realized what was happening. But I doubt the CPU will ever use this tactic with Jordan.
In general, Jordan crated a lot of easy shots for himself using a quick screen, shooting before the defense switched. Imagine if CPU Jordan actually did it, it would have been amazing.

Aaron McKie needs an update.
Left side: 2k version
Right side: How it should be
<a href="http://www.directupload.net" target="_blank"><img src="http://fs5.directupload.net/images/170916/by4bf79n.jpg" title="Kostenlos Bilder und Fotos hochladen"></a>
He is bald and lacking his beard since the addition of the 00-01 Sixers team.
Same on the new Alltime-Sixers.
Please 2k do some magic hereComment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
I think there's quite a few players I can make that would satisfy my own standards. However, I'm really struggling with Tayshaun Prince because the game doesn't even seem to have a skin tone possibility in Create-a-Player that's close to his. This is about as close as I can get, which obviously appears completely out of place during gameplay, even when zoomed out:
I was thinking of finding another player from an All-Time team that I could re-brand as Prince. I was hoping Kerry Kittles was on the All-Time Nets because they both seem sufficiently odd looking but he's only on the 2002 team (which I don't want to break up). Any ideas of who might be a good match, skin tone included?
Otherwise, I guess I'll be holding out for a Steve Nash scenario, where 2K maybe adds Prince back in with an early roster update.
Edit: I admit I'm a little perplexed as to why there's not even a skin tone option. I guess I somewhat understand the idea behind trying to form realistic-looking random players or something, but is locked-in skin tone necessary for that? I'd have been alright with a created Prince like the one above if I could just lighten him up.Last edited by VDusen04; 09-16-2017, 09:36 AM.Comment
