LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
And they update stackhouse.
What sucks is for anyone who started a created roster....In order for these changes to cross over to your roster, you would have to start over in order to get the better version. That's not right

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Is the old Chicago Stadium in the game? And if so, did 2K fix the baskets? The need to look like this -
I have been asking for it for a few years now, hopefully it's fixed by now.
SpoilerAlso, it doesn't take much to make me post a classic MJ photo...My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Anyone notice that sometimes headbands show up on the court and sometimes not? I played 4 times with the Kings, two times bobby Jackson had a headband on. The other 2, he did not. Had it happen to Webber too. Speaking of headbands Derek Fisher of the 97 Lakers is supposed to have A headband and I believe also the 2001 Lakers but when he's on the court there's no headband. Even his profile photo shows him rocking the headband . In fact I think he was one of the first players in the NBA to make the headband wearing a thing....
Webber imo looks slightly better after the update but his eyes still need some work
So a player may wear a headband rarely, always, never, etc.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Why must there always be a difference between asking for gameplay improvements and asking for visual improvements? It's like one is considered legitimate, while the other is just about harassing the developers?
It's not like I said that game would be trash if this wasn't fixed.

They need to fix KG asap. His head is ridiculously big and arms are too short. He looks 10 worse during gameplay than in the edit screen

Lol! I decided to look and I’m wondering about your camera angle on KG bro. Here are 2 different pics I took...

The camera was a bit angled but just play a game with KG you will notice right away how big his head is compared to others.

For example, jersey colors are messed up. Rockets jerseys were dark red back in the day and I don't know why in the game they are light red, almost fluorescent. That for me is far from right.
Another tiny example of lack of attention to detail: Bill Laimbeer, what eye colour does he has in the game?Comment

I get that. But a pic taken from the right angle doesn’t look so bad.
I understand there is a lot that could be improved. And there are a lot of what appears to be easy fixes that just don’r make sense. But I also agree that the nitpicking on this thread is a bit over the top.

I complain about faces & bodies but for the most part I'm pleased with the classics. I wish I could have full rosters for all 80's & 90's teams but that ain't happening. We've got a really good selection though. Adding the legends rejuvenated my interest in 2k basketball. I appreciate it because at some point the classic teams could be discontinued. Pointing out flaws is fine but enjoy the game too.

I mean, I get it. I felt disenfranchised by 2K for a solid five years. So I can understand those who still feel the game isn't reaching them like they feel it should. But I'm really digging what they brought to the table for NBA 2K18, both from a classics and gameplay standpoint.
It's a bummer about the dumbed down create-a-player but all the new classic and all-time teams have been a godsend. This game has a lot of things I wasn't sure would ever come to fruition. These three things...
1) Editing all vitals of every player (even name)
2) Giving any classic team any jersey you want
3) Having access to dozens of more legends that used to always be locked behind MyTeam
... have really opened things up. Suddenly, all those All-Time slots can be transformed into classic teams of our choice. For instance, with a small amount of effort, I was able to replicate the 1993 Suns (All-Time Suns) and 2004 Pacers (All-Time Pacers) while also re-branding the 1998 Spurs as the 1999 Spurs (bringing Steve Kerr over from the All-Time Bulls).
On top of that, the gameplay seems to make sense, which is saying something after last year's on-court debacle.
And regarding the created players, in all honesty, making these guys look semi-believable from the broadcast cam has been the biggest thing for me so far. I'm obviously not going to be churning out a lot of close-ups of Rasheed Wallace's face but aside from times when he's at the line, there aren't a ton of moments where his generic face cuts into immersion.
Yes, it'd be cool to see the birthmark on his head and it'd be nice to have a non-MLK version of Joe Dumars, but it's been pretty great regardless.Last edited by VDusen04; 10-06-2017, 10:23 PM.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
For those of us who like playing with MJ, for some reason 2K assigned every generic dunk package to him. I suggest turning off all the generic dunk packages. Just leave the MJ Dunk package and it results with him looking and playing more like MJ without all those generics turned on. Its pretty much the dunk package from 2K11.Comment
