Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Guys I need some advice...
Last September when 2K18 came out I bought the game in the first week
and started making a 97-98 roster and also creating players with some
of the CAP formulas that were posted on here.
Unfortunately life got in the way and I had no time to play video games
for most of the year dealing with some big issues. This past month things
finally calmed down and I started working on my 97-98 roster and downloaded rosters for 99-00, 01-02, 03-04, 07-08, 08-09, 09-10.
I have since created about 20-30 players on my own to fill in the blanks
and planned on using all 150 spots.
Now my dilemma is 2K19 is coming out and new legend/retro players are coming out but there is some big losses mainly Bosh. I kind of planned on
waiting but the new retro jerseys for so many teams is twisting my arm
as I really want them and the new players.
So my question is do you think I should keep on working on my old school 2K18 rosters and wait later to buy 2K19? Get 2K19 at launch and start from scratch and lose all the work put into 2K18 or do you have another recommendation?
Since I missed most of 2K18 because of personal life stuff I didn't even know
guys like Rashard Lewis, Donyell Marshall, Caron Butler, Carlos Boozer etc
were patched into the game during the year so I had to go back and start from scratch on some rosters. So I'm wondering if I get 2K19 and start working on retro rosters asap will I have to start from scratch again when new players are patched in.
Also do you think the new CAP system will produce way better looking player models this year?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks
At the moment, 2K19 looks like it's going to offer more jerseys, even more classic player options, and a create-a-player that far surpasses 2K18's (check the CAP thread on the first page to see the classic player creations people have already thrown together).
But again, that all holds true only as long as something wonky doesn't step things back (which has happened to classic roster guys with 2K before).Comment

I know probably one of the first things I’ll do next week is go through all the draft classes and see what players are there that we haven’t seen on classic teams before. I heard a few names earlier, but not an extensive listComment

I'm actually okay with them not using a rookie-specific render for the draft classes because it would look wack when you're deep in a myleague and you still have a braid-less IversonComment

That's extremely disappointing. Did they at least update the 2007 LeBron player model? Also is the 2013 Heat LeBron just current bearded LeBron with a headband?Comment

They ****ed up Jerry stackhouse again. Went back to his original 2k18 face before they fixed it in the update.
