I hope they add the 08/09 and the 09/10 Lakers to this game or at least one of these teams. Total waste to have these warriors as a classic team

They won't add both, way too similar to each other. Off the top of my head, Artest is the only major difference between the teams.

Even adding one of them will be tough, Bynum, Odom, & Fisher are NOT currently in MyTeam 2k17. We don't even know if Fisher will be on the '04 Lakers or even be back on the '98 & '01 teams for that matter.

man, a lot of you guys r damn unappreciative. we should be thankful that they're working on new classic teams and keeping the old ones. the czar and possibly even scott r gonna be doing a fine job i'm sure giving the classic teams personalities this year, as the name of the game for 2k18 seems to be quality and polish.

the 16 warriors r great to have... they represent the defending champs before they went superteam and lost their respect. and how can u not love the thunder... you can pit so many good matchups against that thunder team.

be happy with what we have - classic teams are an annual work in progress and r obviously not a priority over current teams, which is totally understandable.

16 Warriors is kinda lame. Yeah it's a classic team but it's too soon to add them to the game. Same jerseys, same logo, same court, same core of Curry, Klay and Green minus Durant and some role players. Seems pretty cheap to me.

That's because it is cheap. They have the rights to every player on the team already, they use the same jersey and court, so it's very easy to just make a classic team. It's just something to add to the count for classic heads.

Guys, don't expect too much because you will be disappointed.
Expect the 2016 Cavs announcement tomorrow or pretty soon because by 2K standards that is what should be called a "classic" team.

77 Portland Trail Blazers - not a classic team by 2K standards
79 Sonics? Not a classic team
84 Celtics? Not a classic team
83 Sixers? No
93 Suns? No
93 Sonics? No, not classic.
87 Sonics? 88 Mavs? Are you kidding me?
95 Pacers? Not classic by 2k standards...
93 Nets? Up to this point, not a classic too...
03 Nets? No!

Serious now, I understand that 2K is making a big effort to please so many fans with so many different opinions and visions and that it does not depend only on their will to announce this or that team. There are many legal issues that need to be solved and many of them do not depend on 2K. I understand that. Many times it is not their fault at all. Right, fine.
But to call those 2016 Cavs or 2016 Warriors classic teams or even those 2 Grizzlies teams a "classic" and to add them as if something different than what we already have is about to be added, that is a joke.
We already have the "classic" Warriors, Grizzlies and Cavs in the game. I can pretty much make them all in 10 minutes anytime I want. So why announce those teams as if they were something extra and new that we will soon be able to enjoy? It is not
Pretty soon we will be getting the 2013 Pacers and to me it means absolutely nothing. We already can build that team anytime we want. The addition of such squad add nothing to table. So why bother? Why make such a big deal?
I´d rather have half those teams, as long as their roster is based on players we don't have in the game anymore, than a bunch of teams that are supposed additions that actually are in the game already. It is a gimmick.
I don't like such politics.

Sometimes I wonder if the Warriors got Kevin Durant just to shut these people up.

And no, I don't have a problem with him going there. He had every right to choose the team he wanted.
That's literally what free agency is.
He exercised his fundamental right to negotiate terms of employment with the employer of his choice.
Would you rather he stay in a terrible work environment?

There is no such thing as "enough wins."

The 1996 Bulls lost to an EXPANSION TEAM. Why don't we hold THAT over their heads?
They also lost one game to the Knicks by 32. Were they "exposed" then?

Appreciate greatness or it's only going to get worse.
And then the league will have to screw over the players' union by saying players can't sign with certain teams.

You still need to remember that these are not OBVIOUS goodbyes. They still nee players to fill out the suns and pacers(more so than the suns) all-time teams. Its still very likely we get a old Pacers team since they don't have many all time pacers licensed for the game besides Paul George, Detlef Schremf, Chris Mullin, and George McGinnis? Maybe there were one or two in MyTeam? I don't know because I don't use that mode but. They would need more than 4 players to fill out a confirmed 15 man All-Time roster. Meaning some way, some how we have to be getting several Pacers players from the early 2000s team and/or the 90s teams. Thats just something we can't overlook. Whether Reggie is included or not.

They have Rik Smits and Mark Jackson in myteam. Antonio Davis if they really want to use him, and I'm guessing Dale Davis wouldn't be too hard to get the rights for. A lot of the all-time classic teams might have to scrape the bottom some to fill out a 15 man roster, not just the Pacers.

I get it, there are a lot of teams people would rather have, but adding this GS team is just another option. It's not like 2k could only fit 16 new classic teams and GS is taking up a spot and keeping them from adding a different team.

Aren't more options always better?

It'll be a huge bummer, but they locked themselves in. We know a Pacers all-time team is coming, even if they didn't get the rights for Reg. Maybe he finally had a change of heart. But I've learned over the years you have to expect the worst and hope for the best.
