I have to disagree cause completely

The ONLY thing that can NEUTRALIZE a GREAT post scorer is getting lucky with spamming reach without foul calls.(this is Why I ONLY play Pro Am). Also the only other way to neutralize a post scorer is for his own team to simply not give him the ball enough. Yep I said it. The biggest enemy of a GREAT post player is his own teammates just not feeding him enough. That may sound cocky but I average an easy triple double when I run with my favorite friends. Passing and scoring is so easy from the post it's crazy.

Iv run post all year and I haven't played one guy that could stop me in my tracks. My very worst game against a guy I'm still getting 20 points. It's just I won't do it a 70% like I usually do. It's gonna be at 40 or 50 against the best defender.

You play on XBOX1? And you said it exactly correct. "Just trying to play the game as you play in real life." It's always funner that way in my opinion so its good to hear someone else saying similar things.

Yea that's what I was trying to say. It's been comedy to try and watch people guard Russ when his back is to the basket or when he faces them up out the post. I understand people saying it's not as OP as bombing 3's from 30 ft, but when you play good teams you need good players who can get tough buckets, and good post scorers can get that for you. But hey, I suppose not everyone is gonna be a fan. lol

Oh wow, the shade is real. Whether it's walk-on or competitive pro-am it's the same result. Fact of the matter is people look silly trying to guard this man. It's not like he posted this to say "Hey look this is the way that you have to play the game to be OP or a POST GOD" It's just a different approach to the game that works, and cool to watch because it's different. But if you wanna make a Stretch Big and just sit in a Corner all day then go ahead. Man that sounds like "ALOT OF FUN"

Then add on that passing from the post up is crazy easy. It can really lead into a situation where your post player can realistically within the flow of the offense lead the team consistent in points rebounds and assists. All you have to do really is pass to him. Passing on 2k17 is already rare. But passing to a player who is posted up? Oh man. Iv very often had to get on the mic and dang near BEG to get passed the ball while posted up

Scoring from the post is easy because it is overpowered just like limitless range as/is. I hope they nerf and make it realistic for 18. No way should a hand in the face shot should still go in 7 out of 10 times. But my point is basing your offense around 2 point shots is just not that effective against top tier teams. When you shoot 70% from 2 but they shoot 60% from 3 using that cheese then you will lose.

Also, court seems small in 2k and its very easy to double team and strip post scorer before he has time to kick it out or even if he does kick it out then the defender has no problem getting back to contest the shot.

Other then that, yes you can completely dominate scrubs in lower tiers because they got no clue how to guard a PS.

people look silly regardless. Walk on has some of the worst players in the game. I wasn't throwing shade at all just stating opinion becaused i played over 800 pro am games and seen what works and what doesn't at top tier competition.

Post scoring would be OP if in comparison Defense was weak

But in overall comparison post scoring isn't OP. Big men are the easiest ppl to rip in the whole game and are the easiest position to double because of the small court size of 2k17. While I agree it should be TWEAKED and 7/10 highly contested turnarounds shouldn't go in, you can't just nerf post shots and also keep the same steal success rate on posted up big men. At that point there'd literally be no reason to be a post scorer because you'd have to play 100% of your games with ppl you know because one randoms don't pass, and two randoms are allergic to posting up their bigs. Most randoms sure will force it to you in traffic tho lol

Then we have the huge problem of 90% of bigs in 2k are just pure trash and are the main reason why guys like me and I bet the OP don't get posted up enough when playing with randoms. I mean we all see this mans highlights. He is a monster in the post. A guy like that should be getting the ball ALOT. But I bet if he runs walk on or park hell get less than 5 post ups from his teammates. Too many bigs in this game go up in traffic too much, or they do one pump fake and go up in traffic and way too many bigs in this game don't pass once they get the ball. So often I get on the mic and hear people saying "Wow I never played with a big who passes so well." And im like why!!?? Every big on this game that posts up should be an excellent passer, theres no excuse this year.

I agree steal spamming on bigs should be half as effective. I'm a big so I know the bs that goes on when you get stripped .01 seconds after catching it.

Also, I gave up on hoping randoms passing the ball. Maybe 1 out of 7 games you run into couple players that pass but other then that, its me hogs taking turns ballhugging and chucking.

Iv started lowkey spamming alley oops

I do that because if you just pass, for some reason dudes don't pay you any mind.

But as soon as you hit a guy on a nice alley oop, he gets happy and starts posting you up more and more then it gets contagious and others start posting you up. Most the time in the 1st quarter I probably shoot once or twice even if im open. But Ill rack up 5 or 6 assists in most 1st quarters unless im just playing with straight ball hogs. If the community played this game like real basketball and if the court was right sized post scorer would be as attractive as sharpshooters but the way 2k is now you gotta adapt to the trash community

100% true. I have a post scorer that I average about 35 points on 80% shooting and my win record with him is about 50% in pro am.. But when I play one of my ball dominant Playmaker types (Playmaker or Point Forward), my win record is closer to 85 or 90% because I can push the pace of the offense however I want which leads to more threes for teammates. I get threes for teammates on the post scorer too, but it's different with the playmaker because I can create chaos on fast breaks on pretty much every single missed shot that if teams can't guard, they lose by 30.. On the other hand, playing a 2 point scoring heavy offense, leads to single digit win games and losses against teams that have no business being in the game.

That is just how the game was set up which is all I'm saying. Either 3 point shot needs to be nerfed or screens need to be less effective. Right now, best offenses are offenses that shoot high volume of 3 pointers.

Let's hope 2k18 bring smore variety so some of these other archetypes can compete.

Thank you everyone who likes and appreciates the clip. I agree with all y'alls opinions and observations. I did mess up making him as i should have added attributes to 3s so i could step out and hit the corner 3 as to not clog the paint as much. I do feel as though that if my bro and i had a full squad all year we would of been ranked high, i mean our squad in 2k16 got up to ranked #3 before we stopped playing (Team Name: Last Kingss). 2k did say that they listened to the community way to much this year when it came to shooting and could never balance it out right and kept it easy for everyone. So if they fix it and bring the averages down to normal levels what will teams and guys that lean on they easiest way do once they cant splash as easy. Bottom line is that what i do can carry over to every new 2k game while everyone else has to refigure themselves out. You think all these guys are who are on the top teams this year are going to be the same top players next year? I dont, ive seen top players fron 2k16 become scrubs this year and i saw 2k15 "GOATS" become "Bums" because their crutches got taken out the game. I could get these moves off on any top big man in 2k, they never guarded anything like that. PS to the dude that is gonna take one of my moves..... i want a finders fee hahaha

Oh I got you. I stole your quick spin. I ran a walk on and got it to score my first try. I think it's the first move you did in the video. Running with randoms I don't really have the spacing to try the other moves but I'll get to them eventually
