They are 2k17 controls. As someone stated few posts ago, this is from August 2016.

It's quite possible they wrote that article for 2k17 last year, then instead of making a new one they just updated that post with the 2k18 controls.

Because play-call definitely wasn't on LB last year, but it is in these controls. I also don't believe there was a cradle lay-up last year, but I could be wrong about that.

These were mostly possible in 2K17, though chaining beyond first to second post move was about the limit of what I could ever pull off. Going from second to third was pretty much impossible for me.

For example...one could fake rearward with outside shoulder, then could start a shimmy drop-step but cancel that to make it a fake and then transition back toward the rim with what would be an up-and-under.

This year is supposed to be more advanced. They've verbally described arranging post-up game into four positional "hubs," which will have various moves possible to be performed from them. And they said they also worked on transitions between, and chaining, moves.

2K17 was a very big step up from 2K16, and if we have as much improvement going into 2K18, then I'm optimistic.

I love how they continue to add and be creative with the controls. For example, allowing us to move the inbounder after a basket. It's a minor thing but adds something that you can do in real life that's not typically simulated in games. Or having the ability to pick a specific player to come set a screen. This way it's not just the guy who is closest, you can really get specific with what you want to do on offense.

Did they change the euro step input? 17 I thought it was just double tap shoot. I used to spam driving crossover straight into euro step to fake out defenders.

The dribble hand-off is removed? I know you can control the off ball player, but when I run towards the ball the DHO is far less smooth. Shame because I manually replicated some Weave action if my initial play didn't give a good option.

So how do you call "ball" on defense?

Anybody able to pull off Euro step or Cradle layups in the prelude?
