I don't know how exactly it works, but in the videos, there were clearly moments where guys sped up. Unless it was just an animations glitch, there must be a way because it was literally right there in the videos.

You have to unlock them and again it's a tiny bit faster. I want the guy to actually run instead of speed walk.

Played my park mostly so I know what I'm talking about even with video evidence.

In this era, we're in of online gaming, card games, and lawsuits one of my biggest complaints about all sports games is lack of innovation. Now, 2K finally done some totally innovative, yet people still complain.
But, like Da_Cazr said you can't please everybody.

Personally, I'm a 100% MyLeague guy. However, I can see myself playing this while waiting for some players to be added, sliders to get worked out, draft classes, etc. Even as a hardcore MyLeague guy I'm intrigued by this mode and am excited to see what it's all about.

I've been a massive critic of 2k through the 17 cycle, but I have to hold my hands up to what they've done with the neighbourhood. The ability of the servers have me on edge, as does the monetising every tiny detail like haircuts, but I can't argue with how this looks.

That does not mean that every base gets everything they want every year.

There is so many different ways to play NBA 2K. I always thought that was impressive to have all thoses options and different experiences all in one game.

No regular pedestrians on the street? I'm thinking in the future pedestrians can be points for side missions, 'hey can you go over there and pick up a package for me?' accept or don't accept.

Damn straight! IF there's one thing 2k does is try very hard to get everything right and expand each and every year. What other sports game / company can say they've added classics to begin with and then to add on to almost a 100 teams with hundreds of players?! Who can say they've done so many hours of scanning players, jerseys, arenas and everything to get that right?

We can even go beyond what's normal in a sports game or any game and this EXPAND, create our own players, teams, courts, jerseys and share them across the board. This open world might not be everyone's thing, but at least 2k is trying to be innovative and improve. There's plenty of games who just repeat the same formula, while 2k always changes and tweaks things to the point where even after 1 year the game can be changed in ways that other games do not even do in 2-3 years.

Also, they listen to the fans and interact with them. For a fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise for example, I can tell you that they do not interact with them and hardly listen to them. All in all, 2k is setting the bar pretty much for basketball, sports and even games in general I believe. It's incredible what they do, even with some misses here and there. They could easily do what they like, occasionally check what fans want and give them a bone. Most companies who are smart listen and try to take something, but 2k is going above and beyond to please all different kinds of fans. It's one thing if people complain about a game when it clearly caters to one specific group, but 2k is trying to cater to ALL. That is nothing short of praiseworthy!

I agree with you. My only quip is the popular complaint with sentiments I also share about poor servers. 2K basketball has had server issues for over a decade at least. I cannot begin to imagine the difficulties of making a game that runs on a stable server for its online play, but one would expect some major headway after so much time has passed with similar complaints being vociferated year after year.
