In all honesty, if all they added was the extra hairstyles and beard styles they threw on the fake coaches in the edit coach screens that would be a HUGE addition. There are lots of styles there that aren't in he CAP menus.. Also there are various hair colors that aren't available in the CAP screen as well.
The "white" hair choices are so laughable, I don't know how anyone could have looked at those before and come to the conclusion that it would be all we needed.. However, there are lots more available in the coaches examples.. We def need some different options for dreads, no Chris Bosh style really hurt this past year with him not being in the game.. I wish they added hair that was more of a "stubble" not a fade or crop, that was lacking this year. Also we still really need just a full head of hair that isn't big enough to be an afro but also isn't cut short like all the different crops and fades.Comment

If I can speak as a frustrated LeBron James fan for a moment...
Since 2k16 when they added the 2007 Cavaliers and the 2013 Heat to the Classic Teams, I have personally wanted alternate versions of LeBron James to go along with those versions. As of now in 2k20 they have added even more teams featuring LeBron James.
To explain how this Is relevant to create a player, since 2k seems deadset on using only two different player models (the 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron player model and the current 2019-20 Los Angeles Lakers LeBron player model) for 8 different LeBron James versions in 2k20...
2006-2007 Cleveland Cavaliers
2012-2013 Miami Heat
2015-2016 Cleveland Cavaliers
All time Cleveland Cavaliers
All time Miami Heat
All Decade 2000s
All Decade 2010s
2019-2020 Los Angeles Lakers
If we were given the ability to do textures as tattoos on created players then it would at least help to differentiate between the different versions of LeBron by being able to recreate his tattoos, because if you want 2008-2009 LeBron you can't really use 2007 Cavaliers LeBron player model because he was thinner and not as muscular with fewer tattoos than he had in 2009. You also can't use current LeBron because LeBron doesn't really look the same way at age 35 that he did at age 25. You can get away with using the current Lakers LeBron player model for 2013 Miami Heat LeBron, because he did look similar then to how he does now aside from fewer tattoos and looking slightly younger.
However for any other versions you are stuck with just two player models. For Michael Jordan there is a specific player model for...

I wish LeBron got the same treatment especially since his appearance has differed throughout the years.
