Pro tip: if you want to edit 2k’s less than stellar CAPs outside of MyLeague, just Export the DNA of the player from another roster and import the player over the CAP; you can then actually edit the appearance of the player outside of MyLeague.

Also, if you import a player’s DNA you can assign them ANY shoe (I hate the look of the Pumas so importing Ayton, Bagley over themselves is a nice option).

If I think what he's saying is correct then it goes like this.

Shoes for example if you have an older roster that lets say had Joel Emiid in Adidas you can switch him to UA or any other shoe brand by exporting his DNA and importing his own DNA over his existing self........Does that make sense? The shoes become unlocked and he's no longer locked to Adidas. This works on any player.

For CAPS. Brad Wanamaker is a CAP on the Celtics, but you can't edit his face until you start a MyLeague. If you export his DNA and re-import his DNA over his existing self you can now edit his face/appearance outside of a MyLeague. You can also search for his DNA as well I know someone has one of Wanamaker on the PS4.

Yes, this is what I was referring to and worded much better than my post. Haven’t tested this much but I was able to give Deandre Ayton Under Armour shoes after importing his own DNA from another roster.

Also, with changing the appearance of CAPs, one wrinkle: you only have the option to change the appearance immediately after importing the DNA. In other words, once you import and select “accept changes,” if you go back to edit the player, the option to edit appearance is now gone.

Please tell me this works for someone else, and I’m not losing my mind.

Being able to customize unique tattoos like you can in myplayer is a MUST

Eye depth is a big one (for sculpting). Also, weight and height distribution needs to be more realistic, as players look far too skinny when they shouldn't. Hairstyle wise, we need more "In between" options, as a lot of times you are forced to choose either a fro or cropped for a player, when he actually had a hairstyle/length in between.
