That's one of my least favorite things about playing with PGs; I would pretty much never want to dunk with Kyrie even though he can, for instance, but I need to let o off the sprint in order to not try to dunk.

    This.

This is why Magic Johnson is so great in PNO and MyTeam, because he NEVER DUNKS. Layup animations at full speed (i.e. when you're pressing turbo and doing the layup) are faster and more shot blocker avoidant. Dunks are always slow and have your players cocking the ball in whatever direction you aim with using the stick. You can have no defenders in position to block if you use your right hand, but when you do a right handed dunk your guy will obnoxiously stick the ball as far out back as he can with his right hand to get himself blocked.

I always felt like turbo should translate to "strong move to the basket" and not necessarily dunk--i'd like a system based more on real-life tendency. Chris Paul for example has dunked less than 5 times since 2013. Turboing to the basket with him should rarely (if ever) result in him trying to mash on a guy.

I wrote a piece about it last year: http://spgmg.blogspot.com/2016/11/to...t-to-dunk.html
        Good point.

We c9upd have players with low dunk tendency and / or low dunk ratings fail more often on dunk attempts even when wide open. Just keep triggering outcomes that would dissuade you to dunk and encourage you to rely on layups more in given situations given your ratings in athleticism and size.
