I can't believe the CPU can make plays like this. I'm Kobe mind you. Right after this happened it was so realistic I just laughed at myself for being fooled.

This clip was so good I actually made a channel just to post this. This on All-Star Difficulty classic teams. 98 Bulls vs 01 Lakers.

98 Jordan embarrasses 01 Kobe. The realism in this game is insane. Kudos 2k.

Perhaps it was by chance, but the very first Latrell Sprewell dunk I executed was actually extremely Latrell Sprewell-like.

Ha, I actually went out and gave 2K17 a shot last year. So many good things there but maybe the first 2K in over 10 years that I couldn't handle due to gameplay frustration. The computer felt impervious to my jab steps, crossovers, and anything that didn't involve video gaming around defenders. Also, the cement-footed help defenders.

So far, so good with 2K18. Though, I admit I haven't played a full quarter yet. I'm sort of having too much fun going through all the new classic teams and players and trying them out.

Russ leaves me in the dust with his first step and makes Dwight bow down at the rim:

That's great for guys who love to drive hard at the basket like Russell Westbrook
I was playing with Dennis Smith Jnr and smaller defenders couldnt keep him out of the paint. But if I was just barrelling in to them Id either miss the shot or the big would come over and block it. Much more effective when I got the step. It feels brilliant at the moment.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
