Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
The next year, the entire experience took a step backwards. Pro-AM provided me with a lot of really fun and competitive experiences (Except for the occasional sharpshooter+brick wall heavy teams) But let's not forget the following:
1. Legendary free throw timeout cheese (It did get patched though, but it was still awful)
2. We play in a high school gym that has no atmosphere whatsoever
3. This happened ALL year, but October was at its worst. In Pro-AM arenas, the game would start, but anywhere from 2-3 people could get kicked on either side...and you'd still be forced to play the game or take an L. My team was top 50 at one point and then we just had disconnect after disconnect and it killed the game for some of us.
4. If you still play 2k17 to this day, there's a good chance that all the players from your MyCourt won't make it to the walk-on arena. We still have to do a roll call as it's loading...
5. Every year people can spam steal at inbounders, straight up run into them while they're out of bounds, but nothing happens. I hope this gets fixed?
So it makes us wonder, we gave them a lot of money but where is it going to make our experience better? I guess you could say Neighborhood, but what new improved experience does the Neighborhood provide besides 1v1, jumpshot game, and 4 point challenge? None of that applies to the Pro-AM crowd who is responsible for a lot of the micros. We'll see when the game comes out but I'm doubtful anyways. Maybe team celebrations will cost 5k now instead of 2k.Last edited by ph33; 09-11-2017, 10:39 AM.Comment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
this is all i was trying to say a few weeks ago. personally ive hit the "nah 2k you tripping.." wall
the ONLY way this BS stops is if we dont buy the game new AND DONT BUY VC! if youre frustrated that is. if youre happy with the way the game is there is no need to reply or comment about those of us that are frustrated
more and more i see folks on here expressing the SAME EXACT things ph33 and I have been saying for about a month or so.
its HARD, but if youre really frustrated with how 2k is treating us, you have to say it with your dollar!
If youre that frustrated with 2k..
DONT BUY 2K NEW, DONT BUY VC
its the only way we'll be heard, otherwise - we're just venting

It's good to see there's a number of people who are on board with this idea though. You see what they did with the lousy CAPs and hidden attributes...as someone else here said (Sorry I forgot)...they get one crowd, and you could be next...now a lot more people are upset.
They made users in 2k14 pay to change rotations...in an offline franchise. Funny how that crowd got pissed and got them to make a change when they voiced how silly it was to do so...because their bottom line got affected.Last edited by ph33; 09-11-2017, 10:47 AM.Comment

Yep. But I think most of this venting is born out of trolls trying to tell us we're being irrational, and that we should act like "adults" and just accept things as they are.

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
Forgot to mention, this is another annoying thing. In 2k16 I put a lot of $$$ into it, and they had a FAR better experience in Pro-AM (We had actual arenas!)

You also forgot the running into referees when running to the corner. Never fixed.
Let's see how the pro am will work this year. I will be shocked if it works the first second or third week after release.Comment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
Mike Wang's response to all this was completely unsatisfactory as well. Basically: " Don't worry about numbers, just pick a build that sounds good and run with it."
I was excited after playing 2KU on the prelude. Gameplay was the best its been in a long time. Then I realized they had this little thing going on. I really don't know how else to describe it aside from what OP said: They're pulling the wool over our eyes. This feels SUPER shady to me...Comment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
People are definitely overreacting, making out as if 2K are acting maliciously. They're probably just trying to encourage more organic & less numbersy sorta experience.
If you want to see your player attributes, why can't you just go look at your player profile? Or is there something i'm missing here? (I don't really play MyPlayer)Comment

People want to see what their player can get to with attributes, and this all becomes a big guessing game this year. For example, some dunks require 80 driving dunk. What happens if you create a guy hoping you can get that animation, but your max dunk is 79 and you don't find out till the end, after you spent all your VC? You are SOL in that situation.Comment

It's about knowing what you are spending your VC on before you spend it.
If you watched the video or read the thread you'd probably have known that and your commeat would have had a shred of validity.
Before dismissing something people are rightfully frustrated about and are actively trying to make a positive change about I'd suggest you actually enter the conversation with some prior knowledge.
People such as yourself constantly saying you're overreacting or this is isn't a problem are the sole reason people such as myself have to write on forums get the gaming experience we want.Comment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
I think 2k took away the ability to see your attributes in response to people re-creating their players outside of mycareer and realizing that their overalls were misrepresented lol.
A maxed out myplayer was really an 80 something overall outside of mycareer.
That is the only explanation that I have.Comment
