Loving the gameplay. Not as easy to score inside on SS so I know HOF is going to be about as real as it gets.

• They ran zero plays and zero freelance options it looked just about as ugly as it could have looked playing like that.
• I have a feeling it will be a lot of complaining from people that don't run a half way realistic offense because it will not be as easy to score. They will be barrelling into the paint and missing a bunch of contact layups that they got away with playing like that for years
• I have a feeling this will be most balanced and realistic 2K they ever made.
• The paint was overall protected well

Which I like. But I just hope it's team/player specific.If a team has weak interior D, I hope that translates to the game.

Their have bad spacing and force this paint layups etc so they should be stripped.

I can just see it wont be but a few hours after game comes out that the online whiners start crying about getting stripped, and the ball being to alive, too many fouls, too many turnovers, etc.

Outside of Ronnie and LD2k, not really using much basketball knowledge in their thought process, when I know they have it, I thought gameplay looked really good. Hard to tell to much since they didnt actually run plays, which disappointed me, I do think I saw enough to say its a big improvement from 17, and I enjoyed 17.
I would have liked to saw loose ball fouls, and charges, blocking fouls, but I think it was more how they were playing, than probably the game itself. Plus foul sliders with NBA2k always need jacked to 100, except for shooting fouls.

It really looks like you need to use some knowledge when attempting on ball steals or you will be in major foul trouble.

I really hope day1 patch fixes ACE, it will be a huge disappointment if its broke again this yr, with all the hype they give it.

I think a lot of people are going to like the new shot meter being moved, I really like where they put it. Usually once I get use to my Pacers players, I turn it off, but when I play with classic teams, I use it since I dont play them enough to figure out all their releases.

I hope what they said at the start about the devs going to be careful about changing gameplay with patches, this yr. It seems for the last few years, once they start patching gameplay goes all to hell. So I hope they mean that this yr, and they ignore the online whinny little kids, who obviously have no understanding of basketball.

Watched it again...some good stuff in there.

1) You were right....Randle was 2-6 and Nance was 1-1. 3-7 (43%) from those two is a tad bit high but its nitpicking as the Lakers shot 35% overall (which is actually the league average) in a perfect world you'd like to see them shoot that well with actual 3pt shooters but its one game so we'll see.

2) Taj had the equivalent of 48pts and 16 rebs lol.

3) The fouls when guys went to the basket were well done....bravo devs.

4) FG percentages were outstanding. MIN shot 49% and LA 38%.

5) The one long pass ended up being a turnover lol.

6) Most of the blocks were from help....EXCELLENT.

My favorite moment was still @ the 4:02 mark in the 4th when Lonzo is streaking down the court and Teague is trailing. For three years this has basically just been an opportunity for chase-down blocks but gameplay had already established that it would be a low-percentage play so Ronnie pulled up and let him go....that's first-rate gameplay making guys mimic real basketball behaviors.

Nope he had six attempts and hit 2 of em, thats 33%. If you consider most of the shots were wide open corner threes, i think the percentage is ok. Even if he was shooting 50% nobody can say his shooting percentage is too high based on this low sample size.

I agree, it was just 1 game, every dog has it days on ocassion, to think a average or below average shooter had a game where he made 2 of 4 from 3 wouldnt happen, is ridiculous. Now if your shooting 50% from 3 every game, then yeah there is a huge problem, but 1 game big deal.

Judging by what you guys have been posting in here, these 2 guys have no clue how to play the game, or maybe even basketball, and they're 2 of the main heads at 2K? I hope they don't influence to much of the decision making in the programming.

Didn't watch the whole video, were there any moments where any of them steal spammed for a while and got punished for it? The lack of punishment had to be one of the most frustrating aspects of playing 2k17 online. There was simply no consequence for spamming the steal button

Do you think it will be warranted?

If they're tough shots...altered shots...I'm good with misses. If not, then it'll be an issue. These are NBA players. They don't miss many layups or bunnies.

I think overall it will be ok but people are going to complain because the game never made it hard on them. From most of the gameplay I have seen it contained people forcing it inside repeatedly trying to trigger some unstoppable layup animation of the past. I think if you take layups in moderation not contested you will be fine.

LD2K took 20 shots with Ball in a half of a game most of his drives were attacking off Ball. My man was on pace for 40 attempts haha.
