Great post VD and I agree with you..2k threw everything except the kitchen sink into this game and it may have been just a lack of time or resources. I really would like them to scale back the amount of teams they include though so they can get the players they do have as accurate as possible.

Great post VD and I agree with you..2k threw everything except the kitchen sink into this game and it may have been just a lack of time or resources. I really would like them to scale back the amount of teams they include though so they can get the players they do have as accurate as possible.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure. -

Pardon my pic not being professionally uploaded but seeing the scoreboard FULLY functional and digital is what I've been waiting for since forever. Now hopefully they can update every arena with a working digital scoreboard with the actual visitor name in it. This looks amazing during timeouts and cut scenes. Even the arena advertisements in some arenas have been upgraded to include digital stat boards.

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread
There's a lot of individual names called during game play from what I'm assuming is coaches...
'Don't let Chris (Paul) shoot that!'
'You can't leave Gordon (Hayward) open!'
Pretty cool

Yeah, even for the old teams they do it. "Don't let Hersey shoot that!" Nice attention to detail, it's not just the stars that get it. Really cool.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread
I don't have a specific "little thing" but man I've seen some amazing blocks this year. Finally seeing blocks where players like Anthony Davis meet the ball at its peak and swat it away. Overall the block animations combined with the small bits of physics and interactions with body parts make them look great.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread
My first game was the Warriors vs the Lakers (me) in L.A. on Play Now. Kevin Harland introduced the game and then said that Laker fans were in for a treat today as Kobe Bryant has stopped by the booth to talk with the Crew. I thought that was a nice touch and he might answer a few questions. But, the real surprise was that they interviewed him while the game was going on for the ENTIRE FIRST HALF (cutting in and out of the action of the game). And I play 12 min. quarters! Amazing!Comment

Some of the transitions between the running animation to an alley pop animation are perfect. I watched on replay and couldn't pick where it started

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread
Jason Kidd got hurt after coming down from a jump shot on someone foot. Few to the ground. Play continued the Nets were forced to intl foul. They came over to him. Teammates came over and picked him up and carried him off the court. I was totally blown away by the fact that the CPU understood Jason Kidd was hurt and had to foul to stop the game. And the animations for the teammates and the step on foot after shot were damn good!
Also if I missed that last year. I'm sorryHands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
