I think I just broke MyLeague... And here I thought the new CBA rules would make team building harder....

Ill have pictures later, but I built a Bulls team by the third season that has LeBron, Jokic, Kemba, an 85 ovr Lauri, Hassan Whiteside... The team is stacked, and I did it with every "logic" option turned on. And the salary total is over the luxury tax by $40M, but Houston has me beat by $10M. Im not trying to "brag" about this or anything, just pointing out how untested and unrealistic the mode really is out of the box.

One thing I found though, during the training camp part of the offseason, you can basically go to free agency and hand pick any player you want. Apparently its bugged where salary cap rules dont apply there, so I was able to sign Kemba to around $30M even though I was already over the cap.

So THATS how they did it. One year every team was strapped for cash and Ball and Anthony Davis ended up not being signed during FA period. I pissed Ball off with low balls before I dumped some salary and had enough room so he wouldn’t talk to me. He ended up going to the Clippers at 25 a year during the TC period, but this put them at -38 million on the cap. I was wondering how they worked that out. Probably gonna use the MyGM team for fun and build a realistic league once first day rosters are out

With the latest patch 3 they say they fixed the myleague euro stash bug but in brackets have new save required.... I was under the impression that as long as we didn’t go past the first season we would be ok if we had already started or do we need to start a brand new MyLeague got yer bug to be fixed?

So a completely new MyLeague is required or can we just do a new “save as” file? That’s what I was confused with.

Any Knick fans fire up their MyLeague yet? Curious to hear what, if any, moves y'all made.

I'm starting mine tonight and have quite a bit of shuffling to do. As with 2K17, I only play KP at the 5 and go the smallball route so I have to move at least two bigs, presumably Kanter and O'Quinn (Noah will obviously be unmovable).

It sounds like Horny is leaning towards starting both Lee and Hardaway Jr, which makes sense to me and I will replicate that. I'm leaning towards this as my rotation...

My active 12-man will probably be...

Frank/Baker
Lee/Dotson
Hardaway/Thomas/Kuz
Beasley/McDermott
Porzingis/Willy/Noah

Sessions has been absolutely terrible for me in the Play Now games I've played so I'll leave him inactive. Baker does positive things, just like in real life. He's earned his rotation spot in Play Now games . I'll give Dotson a shot as the backup SG. If that doesn't work I'll move Baker to the backup SG and have Sessions as the backup PG.

This of course all depends on what I can get for Kanter and O'Quinn. I'll aim for a pick with O'Quinn since he's cheap, Kanter will be a more difficult move given his salary. I'll aim for a stretch 4 and a SG. If I can't move him I'll leave Noah inactive and split the backup C role between Willy and Kanter.

Another thing is it looks like CPU controlled teams don't assign players to the G-League or sign players 2-Way contracts after 17/18.

Lastly, maybe I'm missing something but I don't think there's a way to sign newly drafted players to 2-way deals. In real life, I think the majority of 2-way contracts will be 2nd Rounders going forward and as far as I know the only way to do that in the game is not sign them in the rookie signing stage, then sign them at the beginning of the new season instead.

Of course, the CPU team doesn't do this so unless you have self-control then you can have your pick of whichever early 2nd rounder that wasn't signed. I think if those early 2nd's were automatically signed to 2-way deals instead then that should really help things.

On a positive note, in the 3-4 sims I ran tonight no player under the age of 34 ever retired so that would be huge if G-League was populated correctly.

I'm in the 18-19 season and I've seen CPU teams send down and call up players. Haven't seen draft and stash however.

No because year one is storyline based. Can't use custom draft classes year one either but you can in the second year.

So going to control the Wizards in year 1 before jumping over to the expansion Baltimore Barons.

Ran a few test simulations and appears I will have to "assuming direct control" of teams like the Lakers to get a good free agency experience. They blow their money prematurely so I may just control every team during free agency. I like the experience of waiting to see where guys end up, but not when its things like Durant signing with the Pacers for far less than market value because no team has the money to sign him.

As for my moves for the Wizards, I'd like to rid them of that Porter contract if possible. In 2k17 the AI Wizards traded Gortat for Jordan so I may see where that gets me.

Here both teams are wearing the white uniforms. Just to check if anybody else has the bug.

In the midst of a Kings MyGM. Moved the team to Seattle (SuperSonics) and made the Playoffs in my 3rd year, despite just 38 wins. We were down 3-1 to #1 seed Houston and won game 5. I sim these games, but when my owner wanted me to force a game 7, I chose to play. We won 103-89 and them I simmed game 7. We won that too. Then, we swept the #4 seed Warriors, before losing in the Conference Finals to Phoenix (they have KD now). In the offseason, I traded the #4 pick (which was Atlanta's) and some small pieces to get the #2 pick and nab a high ranked SF who will remain overseas for a season. This season, we're currently in the playoff hunt at 39-36, despite injuries to key players. This is what my roster looks like right now.

The Bulls' jerseys seems to be broken. Played with them in MyCareer and we never wore the white unis. We wore the Red for home and Black for away. Also happened when I played against them in My league both teams wore white.
