I'm a few weeks into my All-Time Teams MyLeague, playing a few games here and there.

I also plan on doing a MyLeague where I take control of two or four teams (fantasy draft league) and try to build winners. Either that or expansion teams with no fantasy draft.

Also might give MyGM a try as New Orleans or Sacramento.

The story in MyGm is complete failure to me now. They just seriously forced me to trade Buddy Hield and Skal Labissiere for Derrick Rose. That trade seriously ****s the team for the 4-6 years. Abosutely Terrible

I'm in MyGm. After every quarter there is a 10 second scene showing what happened in that quarter. Is there anyway to turn this off?

Question: can we add created players to a roster and USE IT in MyGM?

In other words, can we use custom roster in MyGM?

Nope. Ruined the Mode for me.

SImmed year 1 in my Pelicans MyGM. The only trade I made was the one the assistant GM makes which for me was sending Darius Miller and Frank Jackson to the Clippers for Montrezl Harrell and Willie Reed.

We finished 46-36 and grabbed the 5th seed in the playoffs. We beat the 4th seed Nuggets in 6 games to advance to the second round agasint the 1st seed Warriors. AD and Cousins both got hurt in game 6 and game 1 against the Warriors and missed the rest of round 2. Cousins would've played in a game 7 and AD would've came back sometime during the WCF had we advanced. GS swept Houston in the WCF and DETROIT beat the Cavs in 7 game and to win the ECF. Then Detroit went up 3-1 on GS and ended up losing 3 straight games as the Warriors won their second straight title and 3rd in 4 years. Curry was finals MVP

Regular season awards:
MVP - Russell Westbrook, Thunder
ROY - Lonzo Ball, Lakers
DPOY - Rudy Gobert, Jazz
6MOY - Jeremy Lin, Nets
MIP - Greg Monroe, Bucks

Dirk Nowitzki, Joe Johnson, and Manu Ginobli all retired. I'll post another update after the offseason.

After one season the Thunder won the title, which is great right? They even beat Golden State on their way to the finals.

And then in the off-season Westbrook signed with Chicago. Despite having just won a championship in OKC where PG signed long term.

Oh and KD didn't handle losing to OKC very well. He left the Warriors and signed with Indiana, forming a duo with Myles Turner because... why not?


Note to MyLeague players; full 30 team control is required again for sure.

After this past offseason, I feel like I could let more things slide in 2k. KD and Myles Turner got that Texas connection! But yeah, those instances are just unfortunate.

The story line in MyGM is not my cup of tea AT ALL. It took me literally an hour just to sim one season. There's conversations that you cannot skip after every game you sim and the back and forth is SUPER LONG.

Not to mention the owner sells the team and the eventually re-buys the team when the new owner tries to relocate to Seattle. You also have to hire the new owners son as assistant GM and they force a trade for Maurice Speights!!!!! Maybe there are different story lines but Jesus I got hijacked into a trade I would've never made

After the first full season you are promoted and then u have the option to start the relocation process if you want. So if u want to move a team you won't officially move until year 3 in MyGM. Safe to say I will be playing MyLeague this year.

Wow I don't like the sound of this. I was hoping I could play mygm. I like that in mygm there are more things you can do like setting ticket prices and buy gm upgrades. I also like that there are more interactions but not having those different sliders for some of those things like how good the draft class is and sounding like you are forced into making a trade and relocating I don't like. Why cant mygm be like the same but with out the relocating and having to make a trade and with those sliders that are in myleague. I already thought it was stupid that you couldn't use those sliders before. It really is odd that they don't let you use those sliders in both modes.

Okay, so I made a really bad trade and I'm ashamed, but it's to get one of those can't miss prospects. I traded Jrue Holliday, my 2018 1st round pick (23rd overall), my 2019 1st round pick, my 2020 first round pick, and a 2021 second round pick for the #2 OVR pick.

The Heat took Staples first overall, and I really wanted Jackson Baldwin, so I couldn't be happier to take him with the 2nd overall pick. The Suns traded Brandon Knight and the 5th overall pick to get Petrovic. I took a PG named Calvin Miles with the 52nd pick.

I traded Alexis Ajinca to the Kings for a couple second round picks in '19 & '20. I also traded Asik for a 2nd round pick from the Mavs.

The Rockets were willing to give me Chinanu Onuaku and their '21 first round pick for E'Twaun Moore so pulled the trigger on that one.

Now I currently have two second round picks in both '19 and '20 and then two first round picks in '21, plus some cleared cap space.

In free agency I picked up a lot of guys on minimum contracts as re-signing Cousins really hurt my cap and Darren Collison wanted over 10 million.

I'm having a blast with MyGM, all these conversations have my a** stressed lol.

Waiting for good roster overhauls to start MyLeague, so it's MyCareer and MyGM for now

And I'll give 2k a pass for most of their trade logic. Look over the last 10 years of the real NBA, how much of that actually made sense lol

The trade that your assistant makes for you, at any point prior did you enter into negotiations with that team?

For me the owner really wanted Ty Lawson. At first I ignored him because we have John Wall. But the owner wouldn't let it go. He kept calling me asking why I have not contacted Atlanta yet. So I eventually made a few inquiries, first trying to add Ty Lawson to my Beal for draft pick package which they rejected. Then I tried to do a Frazier plus 2nd round pick which was also rejected.

Day of the deadline Andrew says Atlanta had a change of heart and agreed to our terms, and it was a straight Frazier for Lawson deal.

So your saying if the trade you attempt is accepted the assistant GM doesn't go behind your back & force a trade? Would hate to lose a player I'm trying to build with due to the storyline.

You can completely ignore his request, or attempt to make the deal. If you successfully make the deal the assistant GM would not make a trade on his own.

I didn't because I was doing a test run and knew he'd just trade for him anyway. Plus the player your owner/his son wants (in my case, Harrell, in your case, Lawson) gets put on the untouchables list so you'll never actually be able to trade for him.

Yeah I just traded off bad contracts because I was trying to get to the 2nd season and I couldn't sign free agents, which was weird. I was gonna stick with this MyGM but the first owner ended up buying back the team after selling him the same season.....haven't figured out how to stick with the second owner and move to Seattle (if you even can lol)...gonna stick to MyLeague again this year once some solid sliders come out.
