Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Ran our most dominate lineup yesterday
Playmaker / sharp ( Steve Nash type )
Sharp / slasher ( young Ray Allen)
Shot creator / defender ( Kawhi / Paul George )
Athletic / defender ( Anthony Davis )
Post scorer / defender (Tim Duncan)
This lineup just gets buckets . Can play halfcourt or run n gun. Space the floor and attack. Can also defend well. Lot of fun.#1 Laker fan

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
We play with only 4 people and i discovered that you don't have to invite all your teammates to the same neighbourhood to join the arena, we did that in the beggining but stopped using that method because inviting just took too long.
You just have to have them enter into the arena at the same time regardless of you and your teammates being in different neighbourhoods. It worked at least 85% of the time for us. We just do a countdown and have everybody press at the same time.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I'm a first timer to the whole MyCareer/Playground mode. Previously only played NBA Today's and Playoff mode.
The Pro-Am Walk on Arena for me is just a game changer. Wow, never even knew this mode existed in previous NBA 2Ks that implemented this feature.
What I really appreciate is that if teammates quit AI players take over and you don't have to lose any progress or VC.
Also, at least for me, the "Walk on Arena" runs much more smooth than the outdoor games.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Best thing in ProAM (well two things): If two teams without 5 are playing you move up or down a position to play against a human instead of CPU, and the ability to run offense and defense plays. Even though CPU is still useless it is a little less useless if they have to guard a zone and not a man.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I took a quick peep at the plays mid-game. But, I really didn't have time to look through and see what all they had to offer.
Do they give a variety of plays and you can choose which freestyle offense you want to run? Or is it just like 4-5 plays?PSN: bhzmafia14Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Do you have have 5 guards/SF in your team? In that case, one of you will be forced to play against teams with legit PF or C. Can't blame 2K here.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I'm a 6'10 250lbs PF and my boy is a 7'3 300lbs C and 4/6 games we've played I was SF and he was PF. Just a giant cluster in the paint and stuff. So frustrating.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Actualy you can. Its called matchmaking
Stop matching me with teams full of guards against a full team.
In The old blacktop days the matchmaking was better aside from the sever issues.
I miss the 2K10 daysComment

So far we're 4-0 and have beaten everyone by 20 or more.
6'4 slasher/shot creator
6'6 shot creator/3-point
6'8 3/shot creator
7'3 3/athletic finisher
7'3 glass cleaner/athletic finisher

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Hi
Need your help with:
1) how to call zone? (What button the PG needs to press)
2) How to call plays?
3) How to handle a 7'3 center when our center is less massive (any tips will be nice).
ThanksComment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
There are a lot of factors in matchmaking though. You have to think about team ranks, teams currently playing, teams waiting, player ratings, etc. I'm sure it's not impossible to do, but if doing this means I have to wait longer, then forget it. I rather play ASAP.
Plus, if you're a guard/SF, you can easily score against bigs if you play your cards right. Our team has a legit PF and C but we get beat by teams with all guards/SF. Sure these big guys can dominate you inside, but outside of the paint, you clearly have an advantage.
I'm not against your post, it's just not a big deal to me. Because I know not all teams will be running 5 G/SF.Comment
