Here are a few clips. Am I the only person seeing this? I don't see anyone else mentioning it. This is all game, every game. I've been on Pro, All Star and now on default Superstar. I can shoot 75% from the field if I wanted to keep cheesing.

Zero help defense. Strong side, weak side - doesn't matter. No one budges for the CPU.

Those are bad... Before every play now game I switch sides to CPU and go set their help defense to at the very least 75. Some teams up to 99. Then I switch back. In My league you can do 30 team control and set every teams help defense. Night and day! Unfortunately 2k didn't give us the ability to edit each teams help defense outside my league and through rosters this year...

The game is playing completely different for me on the Xbox One X as opposed to Xbox One. In a good way. Has anyone else experienced this? CPU offense is way more realistic and smart. More isos, focus on stars, 3 point gunners letting it fly (Jr Smith shot 15 threes against me). But at the same time still running the teams offense w freelance actions and some set plays. With a few tendency tweaks on top of that it's playing great. It's like night and day.

That doesn't make any sense. It's the exact same game. Are you sure it's not placebo? It would be one thing if you said the graphics or the frame rate were better, but the AI? I don't think the game has been optimized for next-gen, nor have the devs ever claimed that. I could be convinced otherwise, but I'm skeptical.

Turn down the loose balls a notch. Spacing is already an issue in the paint & once you bump into a defender, you automatically drop the ball. Biggest headache this year.

Simple question for me really. I'm a hoops head, haven't played 2k since 2015... This is a must pick up, right?

I'm an offline sim gamer, no game breaking issues to speak of? I think I know the answer but was hoping for some quick feedback.

I've literally heard nothing but good things about vann's rosters...I'm going to have to try them out...

Can someone point me in the right direction on where to get them for PS4?

Did you ever find the ps4 roster for Vann's setup?? Im using TopShotQwaup15 version of Vann's on ps4, he hasn't completely finished yet but the gameplay is already 100x better with this roster.

EDIT: Ciaco02 is also using Vann's playbooks...also make sure you put every teams call plays slider up 99 to get the most out of the playbooks for all teams and resave the roster.

I like everything about this game accept on all-star and higher you just bump into another player and you lose the ball.Makes the game frustrating and not want to play it almost seems like instead of making the CPU more challenging they programed some bs in there to make up for it.

Something else I noticed about 18 is floor spacing is bad and it's bad because either the player models are to big or the court is to small I went back and played a game of 16 and the player models are smaller and more realistic and to be honest it plays a better game of basketball. I think the game is being to heavy influenced by the park online mode and it's causing problems with gameplay in the actual NBA game.

2K16's models are definitely bigger than 18's.

I dont have an issue with spacing in either game though.

Spacing is good for me and I'm loving the "You can't gaurd what you can't see" that the devs touted before release because I have threaded some nice passes by a few guys' heads that aren't looking. Nice addition 2K. Gameplay is good as ever in my opinion.

Maybe spacing is not the right word players seemed to get bunched up together and stuck more often and then I'll see the ball handler look like he's running in place for a few seconds.

You have to use the sprint button less mate, you won't lose the ball in the crowd that often

Last night when I played a regular season game in Minnesota, I was up with 14 or 15 points with 4.5 minutes to go. I was comfortable for a win but they literally shut me down !!!

I couldn't make anything and they won the game.

Usually in this types of scenarios in the past you could've sensed the CPU's cheese moves but yesterday it wasn't.

They locked me up fair and square, didn't give me anything in pick&rolls. Shut down the paint, played far more closer to my man, couldn't beat anyone, shot tough shots and missed all of them.

I really liked to lose fair and square and every game is another adventure in NBA 2k18 just like irl.

My bread and butter offense is p&r with Jackson & Drummond and read what the defense gives me. They didn't give me anything. Towns pretty much locked down the paint for Drummond and for Reggie's drives. Other players were locked-up, they didn't bring help defense. I was p&r'ing over and over again but not getting any result like i had most of the time. I liked it!

So i had to go with more floppy sets and play through Harris with high post isos and low post isos.

I love when CPU challenges you like that.

I jumped out to a 3-1 lead over the Cavs using the Hornets. Dwight Howard turned back the clock and was grabbing boards and dunking on dudes like he was back in Orlando. Kemba was balling out. Most importantly, Marvin Williams was shooting lights out and abusing Kevin Love. That all changed in game 5 back in Cleveland. I figured the Cavs wouldn't go down that easy and they smoked me. Ok cool. Then we go back to Charlotte for game 6 and Dwight and Kemba are still going strong but Williams has crashed back down to earth. He can't hit s***! Lamb and Temple can't hit a shot either. MKG is a straight joke shooting. And I keep being a fool taking the wide open shots they're giving me with him. Well now it's 3-3 and were heading back to Cleveland. It's been a fun series and I'm not even mad if I end up losing it as it hasn't felt cheap. Marvin Wiliiams has literally been the difference here. When he's going we're handling the Cavs pretty well. When he's not, it's rough. Crazy how a role player can have such a profound impact on a series.

Wow i thought i was reading a story on a real NBA playoff series. It is quite realistic !
