How much do you guys think people dunk in the league?? Deandre Jordan dunks like 3 times a game. Dunks are rare. They take a LOT of energy. They were WAY to frequent in 2k for years. I do hope they make it possible to dunk on fast breaks but I'd rather it stay how it is now than for it to become anything like how it was before. This is with me having a 6'10 slasher/sharpshooter who rarely dunks. I still score more than enough and can finish with relative ease.

It's such an obvious problem and there's really not much to debate about. If your player isn't experiencing this problem how can you sit here and argue for it not to change? Be happy you can dunk and go enjoy the game. For those of us who made slasher archetypes, so far we've wasted plenty of time and vc

Man.. I am still having this issue.. I created an exact copy of my build with current badges and attributes in CAP.
HE DUNKS ALL THE TIME!!
It's a 6'5 PG pure SC 85 OVR.

If the fix has been implemented and this is how it is going to be, I seriously want my VC back.

It's not only about PG's. I have same problem as SF 6'9 3pt/slasher 88ovr, and i know ppl with SGs and PFs have it too. Looks like ots connected with hybrid slasher builds.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with overlapping tendancies. Seems like a lot of people have this issue when slasher is secondary. Especially PGs.

The tendancies for layups from PGs are high already, combine that with an initial archetype that's leaning towards lay ups, that would overpower and secondary tendancies. So like PG(Layup) Playmaker(layup) primary, Slasher(Dunk) secondary. Layup+Layup vs. 1 instance of dunk tendancy.

That's what I'm starting to think. Definitely tendancies. Also, If you used your guy and did a lot of lay ups in the last 5 days, you're also affecting the tendancy to lay it in. 2k saves bits of that so your guy plays with a similarity if you get booted from a game.

I agree I think it's a tendency problem as well. Wish mike would let us know something so I can make a decision on which player to grind though

Would also be nice to see our tendencies and attributes before we have to dump vc into these players to find out their broken.

Ps just had a cutscene that said I should dunk more. Very funny 2k. Nice touch

This actually makes sense. But let's not forget the pure slashers who were have issues as well. If this were true though, how great would it be if 2K communicated this instead of just saying nothing.

I'm curious as to what effect Posterizer will have, I'm maybe half-way to bronze, but it's really hard for me to level uo with my guy going for dunks randomly.

It has nothing to do with overlapping, my PURE pg Max higher 6'7 Max weight 225 maxed out stat, 99 overall in driving dunk still sometimes REFUSES to dunk when he is wide open in the paint.

Is this still an issue even after the patch? Slashing Shot Creator is my favorite build, but I dont want to waste time and/or VC.

It is still an issue for me. I was super hyped for this game, but until this is fixed I feel like 2k ripped me off for $60 for the game and $100 on VC as well as countless hours to grind for badges on a broken player.

With a wide open lane and plenty of turbo it goes like this - layup,layup,layup,layup,layup,dunk,layup,layup,lay up,layup,layup,layup then there will be one random absurd contact dunk in traffic when I can't even attempt an uncontested dunk.

In team practice I don't even dunk 10% of the time with a wide open lane. Even between the drills in team practice I can barely dunk.

Dunks are rare enough that it always surprises me when it actually happens.
