layups are still messed up.

ask yourself this question. does a real life nba player that probably has super large hands and can palm the ball at will. lets say that guy has a 90 layup rating and he's 6'10 with hops. are you telling me he can only make a layup if he releases it perfectly at the same time every time? if that were the case a lot of your favorite nba guys would be trash in real life.

on layups there are different release points(we're talking real life). you hold it longer you release lower or higher on the glass. you release it to quickly and it backs off the glass to hard. you can toss it up high and have it water fall off the backboard into the basket. all sorts of release points to make layups in real life. if its all about the buzz in your stick. then that means there is only ONE release point for layups. even with a super high rated layup guy. that is not realistic at all. then i heard mike wang said on twitter that if you release after or before that perfect release point, the chance of making the layup is then relying on your guys ratings. again, my guy is rated a 90 in layups. So that tells me he should be making most of them especially without being defended. But he doesnt. thats how and why i know the layups are broken.

Lebron has missed EASY layups more than just once or twice.

are they not gonna fix the frame stuttering clusterf*** anytime soon?
the core game is simply unplayable. why did they even bother to release the game in this condition?

it's annoying as hell every time I just try to give it a go. Do I have to just wait around?

I appreciate someone from 2K addressing this, but I have a couple of issues with it. Firstly, Beluba said that timing it right was only a boost to your shot, and that you should be making them at a normal clip without worrying about timing it at all. I don't mind timing being important, but if it is, why take away the shot meter?

And all this talk about the rumble. I play 2K on PC with an Xbox One controller, and there is no rumble at any point when I play 2K18, so I guess PC players are just out of luck on that front.

It feels like layups were touched in this recent patch or some sort of tuner because they feel very easy now. When they start tuning gameplay like that, this is when things go bad. Online and offline need to be separated patch wise and people need to learn how to use sliders. This has ruined the game for the past few years.

It feels like layups were touched in this recent patch or some sort of tuner because they feel very easy now. When they start tuning gameplay like that, this is when things go bad. Online and offline need to be separated patch wise and people need to learn how to use sliders. This has ruined the game for the past few years.

Layups are exactly the same.

Anyone else having problems dunking?

I've been dunking just fine the last 24 hours.

No problems here.

I have an 82 slashing playmaker and he won't dunk, have package equipped, dunk is maxed out but he won't dunk in game only in the pre game.

I'm so glad I haven't been having issues with dunking, layups, basically anything really in all game modes. I'm having fun in MyTeam for the first time since 2K16, mycareer is fun to grind this year, I'm at Christmas already. And I have yet to start a MyLeague but I'll do that eventuallyy and that will be a lot of fun this year I assume.

Has anyone dabbled with MyLeague since the patch has gone out? Interested to see if the draft and stash issues have been repaired, but don't want to risk wasting my time to find out if it isn't. If only the notes were available...I think I recall seeing a dev say it was going to be fixed, just afraid to find out if it isn't in this patch.

I just found out from a reliable source that you have to spend 50,000 VC to get the patch notes.
