NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow

Most game are not like this. Virtual currency in some form (Free to play model) has been making it's way to full fledged $60 games, but in this game it's above and beyond anything you have ever seen!

"You will have to pay $150 to be competitive in the park or Pro-AM, and if you don't pay that's your fault" is basically what you just said.

$150, for one player?! God forbid, what if I want two, or three?! What if I want a PG, and then another guy as a slasher SF, and then I have to have a Center. I will have to nearly shed out $450 or spend a 1000 hours collectively (likely) to get all three of them to just 85 overall, for a game that I just spent $60 on?

DLC of $20-$100 dollars come out all the time for games. And if you don't buy it guess what you miss out playing with everyone. How many times maps drop on war games or DLC expansion for games like destiny. You can earn VC in modes that cost no VC a 12 minute quarter game gets you over 1,000 VC. If you played the game for 1000 hours you would have enough to build a whole starting 5 lol. I'm not arguing fair or unfair I'm telling you it's not going to change so if you don't like it there are two options 1.Pay 2.Don't play

DLC is new content. This is literally having to spend more money to just enjoy existing content. Everything (and I mean everything) in this game is centered around VC.

You want that shirt? Whoops, you must be at least 75 overall, and it'll cost you 3000 VC. Want those headphones? That one is exclusive for 85 overalls. You want to use this super cool new feature of creating T-shirts? Nope, you have to be at least 80 overall to do that. You want to create another player? Well, we made the design decision so that this year your clothes are limited to just one player. You will have to rebuy the clothes.

You want that haircut? HA! We're not going to let you preview it so that when you spend VC on it and you don't like it, you will have to spend more VC just to change it back! Because we feel like that was a perfectly acceptable design choice to make players pay each time they want to change their hair. Stuff that was free in previous years now cost VC, and anything new (T-shirt creator) is locked behind a 80 overall wall that you can only get to without some serious grinding or 175,000 VC.

Yes it has. They've gone way overboard with VC while cutting down the ways to earn it. The game play is terrific, but this has more P2W stuff then a F2P mobile game, not one that costs 60 dollars.

Yes it has. They've gone way overboard with VC while cutting down the ways to earn it. The game play is terrific, but this has more P2W stuff then a F2P mobile game, not one that costs 60 dollars.

Pretty sure he's talking about gameplay. The gameplay for THIS game hasn't changed despite the patch on Monday

Some people are obsessing too much over the patch notes. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Whatever they fixed or attempted to fix was minor as hell. The game still feels the same to me.

Thats how I feel, it seemed to be a pretty big patch, for it not to have fixed anything. Gameplay for the most part seems the same, so Im not complaining, they didnt break anything with the patch, but unfortunately I dont think they fixed anything either as MyLeague and MyGm are still broken. So I got a feeling it was likely something on their end, that was effecting them as in someone being able to cheat the system for VC, or something like that, I dont think the patch was actually for the gamer, and why there has been no patch notes for it

Not from that patch. It's from one of the updates. I feel that defense is more grounded and a lot more controllable. Before the tuner playing defense felt a little tricky IMO. You would slightly move the stick and your player would move fast out of position. Now I'm able to stay in front of my guy without going out of position with a slight push on the sticks.

That's how it feels to me anyway.
