Naw you're right. I have to play superstar to make it competitive but they were doing outlandish **** and making me miss wide open mid ranges with melo etc. it does feel better as far as lessAI cheating and more just good basketball

checkout Carmelo's stats. He hits 53.5% of his shots that are wide open (defender 6 feet away or more). From 10 feet and out he hits 51.3% of wide open shots.

Carmelo missing a "wide open" shot is hardly cheating

This idea that players should never miss open shots simply doesn't follow actual basketball data. Even top shooters don't hit 60% of wide open shots and from beyond 3 most top shooters are only hitting 40% of wide open threes.

That's what really bothers me. Sometimes I think people just watch highlights and assume a great player or great shooter makes virtually every shot. And sometimes we all just assume things based on an eye test, like Russell Westbrook being a great finisher at the rim (below average finisher in reality), just beacuse we see him drive so much.

Personally I'm loving how the game plays, just yesterday I was a part of a total grindfest between the Blazers and the Timberwolves and Damian Lillard went 1-8 from three. Judging by some people's reactions I should cry foul, but guess what...it happens in real life too.

Stop looking for a pitchfork to grab, you've been doing it since before launch. No 'shade' at all, I have my opinion on it just like you guys have yours...

Do I think it's in the best interest of everyone if they are fully transparent? Sure...

Do I think not releasing the notes was part of some underhanded plot? No...I'm not sure what they'd be gaining from it....I know the patch itself was rushed out to stop the deletions. So no, I'm personally not going to get worked up about this...I'm waiting on some more fixes. You guys are welcome to feel how you want about it.

Depends on what we call an underhand plot.

Withholding patch notes until the next patch is released certainly seems suspicious to me. Like this patch did something bad that they don't want to publicize until it gets corrected in the next patch.

I understand players miss shots and have no issue with shots being missed but the wide open misses happening all in a row ,including elbow jumpers with carmelo naked wide open (If you think his percantage from that range is 50% wide open... Don't know what to say to you...) all happening in the third quarter while the computer is making 75% of it's shots contested seems a little fake to me...

Sorry to break it to you but Melo is actually shooting 47.5% when wide open on all of his shots. And 53.5% on all his 2pt shots meaning his layups and dunks bump his mid range by quite a bit considering his 3pt wide open jumpers are hit on 44.8% rate.

And on his shots >10ft. He is shooting 46.7%. On his 2 pointers which now becomes exclusively mid range he isssss 51.3%.

So yeah...don't know what to say to you.

On all shots. You're assuming all wide open shots are naked wide open on the elbow in the NBA for melo? Wide open shots on the elbow don't happen often in the NBA. Especially for a well known mid range shooter. Thanks for reading stat pages to me though [emoji58][emoji58][emoji58]

Sorry to break it to you but Melo is actually shooting 47.5% when wide open on all of his shots. And 53.5% on all his 2pt shots meaning his layups and dunks bump his mid range by quite a bit considering his 3pt wide open jumpers are hit on 44.8% rate.

And on his shots >10ft. He is shooting 46.7%. On his 2 pointers which now becomes exclusively mid range he isssss 51.3%.

So yeah...don't know what to say to you.

On all shots. You're assuming all wide open shots are naked wide open on the elbow in the NBA for melo? Wide open shots on the elbow don't happen often in the NBA. Especially for a well known mid range shooter. Thanks for reading stat pages to me though [emoji58][emoji58][emoji58]

Wide open as in 6 feet or MORE. So yeah, he can take a sip of cappuccino and he'll still be wide open. It actually says it on the website. 6-12ft of separation from his defender. 2 pointer from10ft to 3pt line.

Can you go to your player card and see what percentage is from mid range on the court thingy? 20 seems low.

Thank God Knicks finally get rid of the plague called Carmelo. Kanter + McDermott..2nd rounder..not bad since they weren't making the playoffs..and get to decent players .. congrats to the Knicks...got something decent in return for someone who was gone after this year anyways.

Exactly my fear and it happened when ronnie streamed from NYC saying about shoes.. the neighborhood. .getting a haircut and how revolutionary. It was...I was already terrified. ..

Sad to say 2k is heading where EA was...don't get me wrong live isn't an amazing title.. but they rebuilt it from the core..so it will only get better.. where 2k..has NO reason for this...

Throw VC on top of this,then throw in them flying you tubers in and giving teasers..and hyping it..had writing on the wall..this game is losing its foundation ands being a gamers game...

Now it's turning into a game with a mixed identity. .are we pure SIM? Oh let's get greedy.and a attract younger crowds by adding shoes..haircuts..

Add the my neighborhood. .get the rpg GTA 5 type players looking to INTERACT...

What happened to the people who supported your game for all these years..you're crapping on them..not only to killing the game to appeal to everyone...but literally taking away any respect anyone has for them with their vulture like VC.. crap. .


This is a serious question..what exactly does ronnie 2k do? He has NO personality at all...I mean like paint drying from a wall.. you don't put that as the face of your game..for hyping..watching him in presentations. .and playing..is utterly, ,painful..hearing him for a hour talk about sneakers haircuts and how amazing it was to add to a game...made me want touch a wall 60 minutes of what easily could have been GTA 5 modded..is mean we got zero not an INCH of gameplay. .we only saw what the people who got special access. .recorded...

The mega event in NY..literally showed NOTHING..everytime someone was going to start they pointed the camera to another segment.

We have guys like daczar ..who shows defense and other other guys who show offense.. why not use these guys ..as the face of 2k..for presentation. ...I can think of about 4 quality people that know the game in and out..and can show everything. . And have a personality. .

I understand hype..but this was a punch in the face to everyone. .I've only played 3 games due to having a medical emergency. .but surprised if you have a game go to OT they don't charge you for VC... have a classic game ..that went 3OT...want to save it... give us VC..oh wait it's broken.. you lost everything. . Reset and wait for patch then it will be fixed.

We keep tolerating this..EA did this for years until people just stopped buying..now that EA is back..and not gouging like 2k...we need to put their feet to the fire..otherwise this will keep on happening .over and OVER.. can everyone agree the quality is getting worse and the VC is getting to a point of almost bribery?

Imagine kids 14-15 playing fighting with their parents to buy virtual sneakers..they need extra money for a virtual haircut...how about maybe achieving these things., by achieving them.,say ..go one on one with a legend.. beat him... and get a free haircut or sneakers...

You have legendary edition.even that's going to a point of complete greed.

It's not even about earn and reward anymore..which made 2k basketball so great. .now it's well the others players BOUGHT their player...so if you don't. .you basically Pony up or basically look for someone who's trying to DO IT legit.

I've learnt the hard way don't upset them Park boys, they are the reason 2k is making VC thing, they spend the money.

SIM players are like old school centres, we're a tying breed my friend. I bought this 2k but it's probably my last if I'm honest.

I'm just a little kisses I didn't buy the hard copy that way I could of traded it in but still gonna see if I can get a refund on the psn store.

How often do you think players in the NBA (not to mention a past scoring champion known for mid range jumpers) get a shot at the elbow with 6 feet+ of space? You really think they'd only hit 50% of those? (wow melo has a worse wide open elbow percentage than me???) once again you can keep reading NBA stats of ALL uncontested shots but if you think even a small percentage of those are elbow shots I have this great bridge I want to sell you!
