Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
You guys know that messing with game speed makes the game clock faster/slower as well? I never touch Game Speed because of that. I'm glad they introduced a pass speed slider, that will be useful.Comment

Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
I'm interested in learning more about these sliders.
Question VA..
1. How do you set game speed?
2. How do you set player speed (HUM and CPU)?
3. How do you set acceleration and lateral quickness?
I'd like to know how all these sliders work together. I want to speed the pace of game up, but I do not want to be able to blow by the defender every time.Comment

Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
I turned my game speed slider to 65, and played a "play now" game. The clock was not accelerated. Maybe they fixed this for 2k18..Comment

Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
Can someone please clarify what the discrepancy in these sliders means to gameplay?
For example:
Speed with ball (max)- 60
Speed with ball (min)- 40
Compared to..
Speed with ball (max)- 70
Speed with ball (min)- 30
Thanks!Comment

Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
I thought so too but then I timed the shot clock in 2K17 with a stopwatch, and it was sped up. I just tried the same thing in 2K18, I set game speed to 100, and used a stop watch app on my phone to see if 24 seconds in the game = 24 seconds on my stop watch. My stop watch ended up timing 24 seconds at 19.5 seconds. That's a 4 to 5 second difference which means its not just human error of me timing the buttons too slowly. If it was off by 1 or 2 seconds then I'd think it was me, but 5 seconds is huge. It definitely affects the game clock.Comment

Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
With the movement sliders, there's no reason to mess with Game Speed. Keep that at 50.
I do feel the 70 for player speed and 67 for acceleration are too slow still. Try using John Wall in practice mode, it takes him like 5 seconds to go baseline to baseline (lol?). Bumping those to 80 feels more natural. Basketball players can turn on the burners real quick, in the game they should feel explosive.Comment

Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
Umm, the game always uses attributes. These settings only affect the separation/spread/difference between a player with 90 speed vs a player with 60.
I tried 50 for max and min...so slow. Kyrie should be able to instantly burn Mozgov, and not need 3 seconds to accelerate past him.
The 70/30/67 defaults are fineComment

Game speed at 62. Player Movements are much better- more like the NBA. MORE IMPORTANT, that shots look more realistic, Even the SWISH LOOKS BETTER. I think its the perfect speed for the game . And yes I took a Stop Clock to it - it makes a difference one second - or lessI thought so too but then I timed the shot clock in 2K17 with a stopwatch, and it was sped up. If you're ok with the clock being a little sped up then thats cool. I wish 2K would make the shot clock a completely different slider.Game speed at 62. Re: Game speed, Passing Speed & "Movement Slider" balance ?
I honestly did not notice, maybe we could get a patch request to keep the shot clock the same seeing as we all love a patch [emoji23][emoji23]

So I will be setting my stop watch to count how many seconds a 24 second shot clock takes, and my partner will see me doing this and probably leave me.Comment

but once you beat them all the help d cheese is gone you get a breakaway steal nobody is going to catch you thats what i mean and i dont think the game runs slow its more realistic and its no cheesing at allUmm, the game always uses attributes.
