I was reading something about people missing Jackson Ellis. haha. I kinda did like dude, it was fun to have someone to bust on. He was always so salty, he even had that salty look on his face.

Denver was cool, too, though. He pretty much always did work whenever he got in during garbage time.

I dunno how to fix MC, really. It'd be cool to switch it up, though, maybe have a Euro dude or something that you meet up with, more of like easter egg players, not just some dude who is written into the story, and focus on making it. Or like you go to the park and see some dude and if you do certain things you can pull strings and get him on your team. Stuff like that, to me, would be much cooler.

Edit: yo or have some mad scientist dude who is like I need some money(vc) to work on my invention, and you invest and he comes back later and he's like I MADE A TIME MACHINE, and you can pick some legend to import to your team. haha. I think 2k just needs to be unpredictable and make MC fun. They need reasons to keep playing that mode other than just grinding.

You'll need to get a vet from each of the 32 teams to voice the role dude. Unless 2k hires one real life NBA vet and have him traded to whatever team your player is on. That would anger people just as much as a fake guy.

No you don't. You need one voice actor and the consent of those 32 vets. That's it. Nearly nobody knows what some 12 or 15 year veteran journeyman who played 12 mins on average his whole career sounds like. So get a talented voice actor in there and have him do the lines. Done. Nobody wants a repeat of Eric Gordon and Dion Sanders one take voice acting when they clearly have trouble reading.

You may prefer that route, not sure how many would agree with you. I can imagine people complaining now that a white vet sounds black or they know what so-and-so sounds like so it is jarring hearing a voice that sounds nothing like him.

And launch rosters are accurate as of what, July 1?

My list of complaints with mycareer is long, but shammy is pretty far down that list. I am fine with the fictional player, but they did not also have to make him a knockdown shooter or key player.

Why the hell is a fictional character IN a NBA SIM game..you can't just make up players this isn't a soap opera..

Let's get one thing down first,orange juice crap was a travesty..it's supposed to be called MY CAREER..not mine and a fictional character.

How can you bring back a fictional character into a LICENSED NBA game?

If he's NOT a REAL NBA player on a NBA roster...then it's impossible to appear...wow this just keeps getting worse...who thought of this?

Do they not listen,we despised and hated..it last year..now they shove VC and this down our throats..?

Wouldn't be surprised in season 3 Ronnie comes in averages 60 pts a game,wins mvp and title.

So there is ANOTHER fictional character in the game besides YOUR player and this is an issue? I don't understand. You are ok with your character going from a tournament game to NBA starter virtually overnight but not Shammy? C'mon bro. Shammy is the man. He's my vet!

My only issue with Shammy is the same I had with Denver and Justice...They take roster spots from REAL players. My rebounding athletic finisher is on the Bulls. That's 1 roster spot, then add Shammy that's 2. So now I'm missing Jerian Grant and Kris Dunn. But for some reason still have Cam Payne smh. But hey if I upgrade my player to a 90 overall I can control rotations.......

Kind of unrelated but whenever I think about all these fictional characters in mycareer I always think of a buddy of mine. In 2k15 he thought there was two fictional characters one rival (Jackson Ellis) and one teammate (Kendall Marshall). One day I was talking about the Unc team with Marshall and Hansbrough. My friend was shocked that marshall was a real player. He thought he was a fictional teammate because "marshall followed him to every team he went to". So seeing this thread mention Jackson Ellis made me laugh and I thought I would share.

Wait wait ..I may have read this wrong...this does not appear in franchise/my league..just in MY CAREER..because of a storyline they're trying to make people care about right?

If that's the case my bad,because if it's just My career as a cameo..or in the neighborhood I could see that being FUN but not part of the actual NBA roster in franchise/my league.

While I may NOT like what 2k has done with story mode and making people care about players nothing we can do but suck it up..just don't make fictional character appear in franchise/my league.

Yeah and he went undrafted and is a virtual unknown. So? What's the point? I repeat... nobody under 30 remembers Shammgod and nobody knows his son. Why even pay hommage to the dude? Is it that hard to get someone to do the voice over for some older vet on a team?

Actually, you’re not even drafted this year. You don’t even enter the draft. A random scout from a team you pick watches you play in a street game and decides to give you a tryout, which you seemingly can’t fail at.

That’s my biggest gripe; I like the randomness of the draft and not knowing what team will pick me. But now it’s whatever team you want to be in because there is no draft. Every story is identical regardless of position, size, skill set, etc.

Lol this keeps getting funnier..are they trying to become a soap opera? They gave us some H.S basketball like a few minutes,then a few college games that well..weren't a ton but at least they tried to make it feel you are being DRAFTED even though it's scripted.

I'd prefer that over being seen in the street or a park and then suddenly getting playing in the or 10 day contract into the NBA..or however they throw a player into the game. The whole draft is now NULL.. could of sworn it said NBA ..that's not how the NBA works..

They way 2k is going..you might not even need to NBA license anymore (sarcasm).

I mean in reality yes that game is a GAME and it is fictional but you want it TRY to be as realistic as possible to draw NBA lovers and basketball lovers in.

Y'all getting me hot dissing my guy Shammy Wells like this lol. That's my vet.

He reminds me of JR Smith. He has no conscious with the shot selection but he's wet. He honestly might be my favorite teammate. I wasn't really feeling Justice but Denver was my guy.
